Previewing Secret Life of Predators
Fan of nature specials, you are in luck because the next one, Secret Life of Predators, premieres this Friday at 8:00 and will be simulcast on both the National Geographic Channel and Nat Geo Wild. As the title would suggest, if you are an animal lover, you may want to avoid because there is plenty of graphic animal on animal crime. It is so graphic in detail; they even introduce a carcass cam where you can witness what it looks like to be eaten by a cheetah.
The four part series starts off with Naked. I am not entirely sure why it is named that or why any of the episodes are named as they are (aside from the last one Wet which takes place in the ocean). The show even ponied up to get a Snow Patrol song as its theme and each episode will feature another adult contemporary song or two include a humorous scene where they use Stubborn Love by The Lumineers to accompany two fish setting up house together.
In the first episode you will see how such divers animals from secretary birds, who stomp their prey to death, to longhaired hedgehogs find their next meals. And over the next three episodes you will meet ninja frogs who keep wasps away from their eggs, dolphins who beach themselves for food, a lion try to find food with a broken jaw, and even an arctic fox that urinates on one of the cameras. The landscapes and shots are as beautiful as you expect from a show like this which will only be enhanced if you witness it in HD.
Secret Life of Predators premieres Friday at 8:00 with another episode following at 9:00 with the final two episodes airing the following Friday (September 27) starting at 9:00 on the National Geographic Channel and Nat Geo Wild.
