Thanks for including Hootie and the Blowfish! They remain (IMO) underrated after their debut. :/
ReplyDeleteWow... this is... an interesting list to say the least.
ReplyDeleteSome of your choices are dead on, and I would have expected to see them on this list, but some others? I don't really know how to say this nicely, but a couple of these songs are on my "worst of 2006" list.
Also, for such an Idol-basher, you sure don't seem to mind that "Bad Day" song!
Weird. But I say this all in fun.
Tiggerprr - I've been a long time fan and even though their recent releases aren't as good as their ealier work but there are still pretty good.
ReplyDeleteErica - I'm not entirely sure why I wouldn't like the Bad Day song just because I don't enjoy kareoke shows (but let me point out three of the songs on this list are from kareoke winner).
Happy New Year! Sorry I didn't get here earlier, though I'm glad I showed up for this post.:) It's funny you did this for 2006. I was thinking about doing something very similar for 2007 and kicking myself for not doing it earlier. It makes best of lists like these so much easier.
ReplyDeleteAs for your list, there are many good ones on there, and even a few I don't think I've heard before. Now I have something to check out, too!:)
Such an ecelectic list! Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteQuite an undertaking! I see your blog on about three places :)

what a list...I see some of my favourites are on it....yahoo....
ReplyDeleteI found your through Skittles link up Tuesdays
Surfed on from the BE message board thread challenge.
ReplyDeleteI did not see this list previously and I was very amused that Weird Al's "White and Nerdy" was at #28 higher than the song he spoofed at #73. I love Weird Al's video of the spoof. Always great for a laugh.
Happy New Year
ReplyDeleteThanks, same to you Mr(s) Anonymous.
