I have gotten a plethora of cool press releases flooding my inbox recently that you may find interesting. This post includes blurbs on Florence + the Machine, Trousdale, Frank Sinatra, Tears For Fears, Mother Love Bone, The Rolling Stones, Marcus King Band, and Couch.
- Florence + the Machine unveil a new song, “One Of The Greats,” today from Florence Welch’s forthcoming sixth album, Everybody Scream. Listen here. The new album is set for release on October 31, preorder it here.
- Trousdale, the Los Angeles heavenly harmonic trio, release the long-anticipated single “The Ick.” A secret, unlisted track on the vinyl for their latest album Growing Pains, the song caught on like a wildfire even before officially being released. The all too familiar feeling of liking a person until they do that one thing you just can’t get over, “The Ick” has become an anthemically relatable moment in Trousdale’s live shows — Stream / Watch the official video directed by Giovanna Trujillo of Sworn Friends Studio. The band shared, “‘The Ick’ is, without question, the most important song of our generation. Written with Dan Fernandez in Nashville, it’s a groundbreaking piece that captures the exact moment when infatuation turns to revulsion. You know the feeling: one second they’re charming, the next they’re wearing flip-flops or talking in a baby voice, and suddenly you’re rethinking every life choice that led you here. The ick isn’t just a feeling—it’s a deep, existential betrayal. It’s realizing they’re not the flawless masterpiece you invented in your head, but rather a person who says ‘boys will be boys’ unironically. There’s no recovering from it, so we figured we might as well write a song about it. Call it a public service.”

- Marcus King Band’s highly anticipated album Darling Blue is out now via American Recordings/Republic Records. Listen to/share the album HERE. “I wrote ‘The Shadows’ with [Nick Monson & Madi Yanofsky] featuring a devastatingly sweet, sweeping melody from Paul Franklin & Billy Contrares,” says King. “We really wanted to have the second verse belong to someone we thought embodied the essence of this song. Noah Cyrus immediately came to mind and when she agreed to be on the track, I knew it was meant to be. Noah’s voice brought the song to a level I didn’t realize it could reach. Truly an inspiration to share a song together.”
