Centered by tangled guitars, powerful drums, and belt-your-heart-out vocals, the track sees The Revivalists celebrating perseverance in the face of things you love so much they threaten to tear you apart, with frontman David Shaw squaring up to whatever is to come by howling en route to the climax, “I’m not afraid of the future comin’ my way/I’m over wasting my time.” “Heart Stop”, co-written by Shaw with Andriu “Yàno” Yanovski and PJ Howard, is joined today by an official music video streaming now on YouTube. Directed by filmmaker Caroline Iaffaldano and fully shot on a first-person-view helmet cam, the instantly striking visual takes the viewer inside an iconic New Orleans shotgun house alongside the talented dancer Malerie Dempster.  "This song might hit a little different for everyone, and I love that,” says Shaw. “But for me, I'd say sometimes you are caught between two loves. One that's tearing you apart and one that you know is right. This song is the sleepless nights, the wreckage, and the moment you finally surrender to what you know is there for you."  LISTEN TO “HEART STOP”  WATCH “HEART STOP” OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO

It debuted in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200 and went on to become his best-selling solo album. Among many highlights, the album boasts staples such as “The Last Worthless Evening,” “The Heart Of The Matter,” “New York Minute,” and the title track. In the wake of the release, he received a 1990 GRAMMY® Award in the category of “Best Rock Vocal Performance Male” for “The End Of The Innocence. Henley notably helmed the album as a producer, with guests Bruce Hornsby and Axl Rose joining for memorable collaborations on “The End Of The Innocence” and “I Will Not Go Quietly,” respectively.

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy Award-winning guitarist Peter Frampton today shares a new single, “Lions at the Gate,” featuring Tom Morello—listen/share here. Today’s release follows iHeartRadio’s world premiere of the track, where they aired the song on all of their Classic Rock stations around the country yesterday. The song is the latest release from Frampton’s upcoming album, Carry the Light, his first album of all-new material in 16 years, on May 15 via UMe—pre-order/pre-save here. Co-written and produced with his son Julian Frampton, the collection also includes guest appearances by Sheryl CrowBill EvansH.E.R.Graham Nash and Benmont Tench.  “Lions at the Gate is a powerful track with a powerful message, and Tom’s playing took it to another level,” said Frampton.

New York City’s Blums, the project of songwriter and musician Kelsea Feder, is excited to announce her signing to Brooklyn-based indie label, Take Care Records. Heralding the news is her debut single, the winding and weaving “Sinking/Soaring,” which chronicles the cyclical nature of self-torment. Inspired by Kelsea’s stint as a jazz club hostess, the track is laced with mellow vibraphone and delicate keys, building into a melodic spiral. Alongside the song, an official music video directed by Ava Burka and Marianna Kamiaklioyis premieres today. Documenting a hazy, disillusioned world of dilapidated houses and glamorous performances, the video for “Sinking/Soaring” shows the contrast between high highs and low lows.   Speaking about the new song and video, Kelsea shares, “The song comes from a place of being trapped in the head, self-obsessed, miserable, tormented by loneliness, and disgusted because I was aware my problems are so small compared to the world at large. I wrote this in 2019. The previous year I was working as a hostess at a jazz club so I feel like I had a lot of that in my head, or at least the image of ‘jazz singer.’ I was living with Sasha Berliner, a dear friend of mine and a jazz vibraphonist. She plays some vibraphone on this track (as well as keys), and when I was stumped on where to go I played it for her and she gave me the perfect missing chord for the 2nd and 3rd choruses. Kirk, my incredibly brilliant producer, had me write out certain syllables of each word and sing them in different melodies to do this incredible weird effect at the bridge, freaky genius style.”  LISTEN TO “SINKING/SOARING”

Country artist Belles unveils her new single “Son of Jolene,” featuring international music legend Dolly Parton – a modern sequel to one of country music’s most iconic songs. This release signals a pivotal moment ahead of Belles’ highly anticipated debut album, set for release in 2026. “Son of Jolene” is available now on all streaming platforms here.  Inspired by the timeless narrative that captivated generations, Belles penned “Son of Jolene” as a clever, character-driven continuation of the classic story, imagining a chance encounter years later with Jolene’s son. Blending vivid storytelling with a modern country edge, the song honors the spirit of the original track while introducing a fresh perspective. “I grew up so inspired by Dolly and the worlds she created through her songs,” shares Belles. “Having her lend her voice to this record is beyond anything I could have imagined. It feels like a full-circle moment and a true honor.”

San Francisco via New York City indie rock artist lucky break confronts hard feelings on soft track, "Head Down," with its matching video, out today. The musician's debut record made it! is due out May 8 via Fire Records and is available to pre-save now. After playing SXSW last month, lucky break will embark on a tour across select U.S. cities this spring and summer including select dates with Nashville artist Maisy Owen. See all dates below and find more information here.  "Head Down," out today, is bright and dreamy with its guitars and double tracked vocals. Thematically, it leans darker as it explores the illusion of innocence that allows one to look the other way and the desire for instant gratification. “Mass produce destruction,” the artist sings in the first few seconds of the song, “get out of bed.” The accompanying video, directed by collaborator Margaret Elle, captures that innocence and brightness against the bleaker themes of the song.

In this hyper-digital day and age, it’s near impossible to not fall down the algorithmic rabbit hole of comparison spirals, curated perfection, and infinite doomscrolling. I wanted to visually represent the tension that exists between conforming to the pressure or rebelling against it and what it feels like when the two coincide."  WATCH: "Digital Girl" (Official Video)

I have gotten a plethora of cool press releases flooding my inbox recently that you may find interesting. This post includes blurbs on The Aces, Neil Diamond, Sean Paul, The Leaving, and Cherry Bomb.

Like a great night you never want to end, The Aces today release their deluxe album, Gold Star Baby: After Hours, and keep the dance party going. The expanded record includes three new tracks: the previously released diss track “Square One,” joined by the hopeful “Can’t Wait” and a club remix of “The Magic” by the band’s own Katie Henderson. The new set of songs makes an argument against anyone who says nothing good happens after midnight — Stream.   On the deluxe album as a whole, the band shared, “We felt like we wanted to keep the ‘Gold Star Baby’ party going. We had so much fun touring this record and the culture we built with the fans and wanted one last hurrah. So, we decided to share some of our unreleased favs from the era. Little bit of heartbreak, a lot of disco. That’s GSB.”

On May 8, rock ‘n’ roll icon Neil Diamond unveils Wild At Heart, a testament to his mastery and a remarkable third – and final – entry in his universally praised collaboration with producer Rick Rubin. Recorded initially at sessions for Diamond’s chart-topping Home Before Dark, this collection of ten songs features his signature passionate vocals and powerfully incisive lyrics surrounded by urgent yet stripped-down arrangements.  Diamond initially teamed up with Rubin for 2005’s 12 Songs, hailed as “one of the most entertaining, satisfying albums Diamond has ever released.” The partnership went so well that Diamond was eager to work with Rubin again. 2008’s Home Before Dark was a tremendous popular success (his first-ever Number One album on the Billboard charts) and garnered widespread critical praise. PopMatters’ James Bassett echoed many of his colleagues’ sentiments when he hailed Home Before Dark as “an album of rare beauty, grace, and eloquence that captures Diamond in all his plain-spoken and big-hearted glory. And it is easily the most intensely personal release of his esteemed career.”  WATCH THE OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO FOR “WILD AT HEART” HERE.  VIEW THE WILD AT HEART TRAILER HERE.

Multi-award-winning dancehall icon Sean Paul and Grammy-nominated R&B singer Keyshia Cole are seeing their 2006 collaboration “(When You Gonna) Give It Up to Me” reach a new milestone nearly two decades after its original release. This week, the record climbs to No. 30 on the UK Official Singles Chart with 12,578 sales, marking a new all-time chart peak in the territory.  The renewed chart success follows a sustained global resurgence that has accelerated throughout 2026. Since January 1, the track has generated more than 120 million new streams worldwide, reflecting renewed engagement from both longtime fans and younger listeners encountering the record through short-form video platforms.

- The duo The Leaving, comprised of Martin Doherty (CHVRCHES) and Jonny Scott, announce their debut album Ultimate Buzz, set for release on April 24, via Avenue A / Futures ✦ / Virgin Records. Alongside the announcement, they’ve released their single, “Fluoxetine,” written and produced by both members, following earlier tracks “Pray” and “Saved”.  “Fluoxetine” finds The Leaving staring straight into grief and coming back changed. Built from existential doubt, love, and the need to be a source of comfort when you feel utterly unqualified, the song wrestles with belief, loss, and the desperate desire to absorb someone else’s pain. Born from insomnia, hallucination, and fleeting euphoria, “Fluoxetine” captures the moment sorrow transforms into strength.

Cherry Bomb, the Los Angeles-based solo project of MisterWives' Mandy Lee throws a Y2K party with a confessional, pop-drenched tune "Digital Girl" out today via AWAL. Underneath the pulsing beat and crisp vocals, Lee earnestly chronicles the pains of keeping up with an increasingly automated, algorithmic world as an artist.  LISTEN: "Digital Girl"  With a reference to Madonna's "Material Girl," made for 2026 on the bubbling Y2K earworm, the track details the real struggles of being both a musician and a person today. Speaking on the contrived displays of perfection on social media and pressures of constant self-promotion, Lee explains, "'Digital Girl' asks how far are you willing to go for your dreams and at what cost? In this Information Age where the pressures of perfection and an unsustainable quantity over quality are constantly burning out not just artists but everyone who is plugged in, it’s impossible to not romanticize unplugging entirely."
