Now, she must recruit her best friend Max (Chad Michael Murray) to pose as her fake husband for the cameras – but they both discover something real along the way.

Tears For Fears' multi-platinum-selling second album, Songs From The Big Chair, will be reissued in multiple formats on November 14, marking its 40th anniversary and celebrating its enduring impact. Originally released on February 25, 1985, Songs From The Big Chair became a global sensation, topping the US charts and spawning five hit singles: “Mothers Talk,” “Shout,” “Everybody Wants To Rule The World,” “Head Over Heels,” and “I Believe.” The album captured a perfect intersection of pop accessibility, sharp lyricism, guitar power, and new-wave innovation.  To mark its Ruby Anniversary, UMe will unveil a range of special editions, including a limited edition 2LP Transparent Red vinyl featuring the original unused artwork and tracks previously unavailable on vinyl, a 3CD deluxe set, a limited edition 1LP Coke Bottle Clear vinyl, and a limited 1LP picture disc.  RELEASED ON UMe NOVEMBER 14th AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDER NOW HERE.

Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, dancer, producer, philanthropist, actress, and pop culture icon Mya is celebrating the 25th anniversary of her era-defining second studio album, the Platinum RIAA-certified Fear of Flying, home to such chart-topping singles as “The Best of Me,” “Case of the Ex (Whatcha Gonna Do),’” and “Free.”  Available today via Interscope Records/UMe, the Fear of Flying 25th Anniversary reissue features a 2 LP set pressed on standard black vinyl for the first time since its original release on April 25, 2000. The album is also available in immersive Dolby Atmos® sound on supported streaming services for the first time. Just in time for Halloween, Ghostface Killah of the legendary Wu-Tang Clan drops his latest track, "Ancient Dirt (L’Etrusco Uccide Ancora)," available today on all major streaming platforms. The single marks his role as narrator in Nightmare in Rome — a first-of-its-kind multimedia project uniting hip-hop, electronic experimentation, and Italian soundtrack heritage.  A collaboration with acclaimed Italian producer Lorenzo Senni (Warp Records) and historic soundtrack label CAM SugarNightmare in Rome envisions a futuristic city split by the “Green Line” — where the wealthy New Urbe rises over the sprawling slums of Zuburrah. In this dystopian world, music becomes rebellion: an underground band performs from ancient catacombs to keep hope alive as society fractures around them.

New York-born, Los Angeles-based duo Phantogram release the deluxe edition of Memory Of A Day, featuring a new version of “Move In Silence” with Big Boi. The expanded album also includes two new tracks - Earthshaker” and “In My Head,” the latter a collaboration with Whethan (known for work with Charli XCX, Dua Lipa, and more). The album release marked the start of Phantogram’s partnership with Neon Gold Records, the acclaimed indie label celebrated for its roster of boundary-pushing alt-pop artists including Charli XCX, HAIM, Tove Lo, MARINA, and Christine and the Queens.

Gaining traction as one of country music’s fastest-rising artists, acclaimed Nashville-based singer, songwriter, and performer Kaitlin Butts will unveil her new Yeehaw Sessions EP on November 14, 2025. It notably marks the celebrated rising star's debut under her recently minted deal with Republic Records. Pre-order/Pre-save Yeehaw Sessions EP HERE.  "From releasing my album over a year ago as an independent artist, to having a viral song, to now signing a record deal with such a prestigious label like Republic Records, the journey has felt nothing short of surreal,” shares Butts. "I’m so inspired by the Republic team and how their vision aligns with the dreams that I’ve always had for myself.”  Kicking off this next chapter in earnest, she just shared a powerfully moving cover of the Jimmy Eat World classic “The Middle” giving fans the first taste of the forthcoming  EP. Listen to “The Middle” HERE.

Emerging as a different kind of pop phenomenon, international star, accomplished pianist, and dynamic vocalist Gina Alice uncovers a clever, cheeky, and catchy new single and music video entitled “Cosplay” out now via Republic Records. It’s perfect for your Halloween playlist.  Listen to “Cosplay” HERE. Watch the music video HERE.   Gina’s luminous piano shines throughout the duration of the track, bringing a gust of vibrancy to the production. The song unpacks the dynamics of a complicated relationship as she teases during the tongue-in-cheek chorus, “Lemme cosplay as anybody you want me to.” Evoking this core theme, the intimate visual threads together a series of striking and stunning vignettes. Captured with a tight close-up, she sings to her reflection in a handheld mirror. Meanwhile, a wide angle shot focuses on the songstress as she sits behind the piano in a yellow couture gown.

Hulu has renewed the adult animated series “King of the Hill” for seasons 16 and 17 with a 20-episode order.  “King of the Hill” was initially revived in January 2023 with a 20-episode order.  Season 14 streamed its 10-episode season on Monday, August 4 following its world premiere at San Diego Comic-Con which included an activation recreating the show’s famous Arlen, Texas.

57 Channels and Only This Is On: October 26, 2025

Task:  They really pull one over on us with the scene with Tom telling DJ Grossanova he was coming for him and the later urging him to come only for DJ Grossanova to grow a conscience.  Then the guy was extremely lucky that the biker shot the dude without a gun first instead of him.  But I guess there were a lot of dumb people on this show.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon:  Oh joy, looks like we are getting another season in Spain.  But why are they acting like this was the last remaining boat in the world?  Fix up some of the other ones.  There seems to be no shortage of cars, motorcycles, and gas to power them when they need to travel long distances on land, but that was apparently the only boat that can be fixed up.

Only Murders in the Building:  Another good and like the last episode, it was because we got a bunch of rotating groups playing well each other.  Welcome back Dimas’s though I am pretty convinced Teddy will be the next victim.  I was a little disappointed that Detective did not stay for The Last Supper.  But now I am wonder who at the table is the Judas and do they tie into this mystery or next season’s murder?  I also have to say, it was a simple sight gag, but I did laugh pretty hard at Randall running away leaving the two old men and woman in non-running shoes standing there unable to do anything about it.

I was also beginning to wonder, is there even going to be a next season?  It is weird we have not gotten a formal announcement yet.  Could they pull a Penny Dreadful and announce the show is ending with a title card after the final scene?  If it does come back, will they somehow implicate Camilla and everyone will be able to move back in?  Will just the 49% that did not sell be allowed to stay?  It does feel like they might be setting up big changes next season or they are just going to end it without the usual farewell tour.

As for the murders at the heart of this season, the new information made things more confusing.  Lester was holding a bloody elevator crank, but Nicky was found with a meat cleaver in his chest.  My first though was maybe he chopped off the finger, but that does not seem like something that is sharp enough to chop off a finger.  I am still fairly convinced the mayor was involved in one if not both murders and that it is his finger.  Then whoever has it has the key to blackmailing him into building their casino.  One final prediction: Jay Fuig will be the narrator for the finale as he explains what exactly happened in the casino that night and does so to help Mabel stay in the Arconia.

Chad Powers:  Again, I have to ask, how many times does Russ have to show up around the team before people start putting two and two together?

The Lowdown:  So, Dinklage was one and done?  That is a little disappointing.

Survivor:  I am so paranoid so any blindside I have to yell at the screen, how could you not see that coming?  Even worse is situations like this week when someone is clearly on the bottom and they still are able to convince that person not to play any advantage or their Shot in the Dark.

The Challenge: Vets and New Threats:  Leroy really should have stood there and let America do everything, they may have one that way.  Or at the very least focus on one puzzle at a time.

Around the Tubes: October 25, 2025

I have gotten a plethora of cool press releases flooding my inbox recently that you may find interesting. This post includes blurbs on Em Beihold, Elton John, Sublime, The Smashing Pumpkins, Leif Vollebekkm, Couch, Down Cemetery Road, and June Farms.

Platinum-selling singer-songwriter Em Beihold drops an alternately cozy and catchy new single entitled “Scared of the Dark, out now on all streaming platforms via Republic Records. It unfolds yet another facet of her ever-expanding creative world.  Listen HERE.  As if flipping a switch, the song builds from vulnerable verses into a vibrant refrain spiked with an up-tempo rhythm and strutting bassline. Piano blinks through a steady rhythm, and Em makes a confession on the hook, “I’m scared of the dark and my co-dependent heart. What made that noise, was it a ghost? No, I can’t be alone. It has all the makings of an open-hearted and identifiable signature anthem from the songstress.

Half a century after it dominated charts around the world, Elton John’s seminal album Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy has received a 50th Anniversary Edition reissue, out now via UMe. The special reissue is available on multiple formats, including 2LP, 2CD, and 1LP, Live At Midsummer Music, Wembley Stadium 1975, which was the album’s live debut, as well as a booklet containing never-before-seen entries from Elton’s personal diary. All available to order now here.  In 1975, Elton John was in the midst of a prolific run of unimaginable success, having broken into the mainstream in 1970 to become the biggest star on the planet. His 9th album in six years, Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy, would break new ground in a plethora of ways. A concept album devised with Elton’s longtime collaborator and lyricist Bernie Taupin, it told the chronological story of the early years of Elton (Captain Fantastic) and Bernie’s (the Brown Dirt Cowboy) musical careers in London as they struggled to break through. On the heels of this release is a golden milestone in music history: the 50th anniversary of Elton John’s legendary back-to-back performances at Dodger Stadium, held on October 25 and 26, 1975. These shows stand among the most iconic live moments in rock and pop history, capturing Elton John on his meteoric rise to superstardom and cementing his place as one of the greatest entertainers of all time.

Sublime is making history with their latest single, “Ensenada,” which is currently spending its sixth consecutive week at #1 on the Billboard Alternative Airplay chart. The track surpasses the band’s iconic 1996 hit “What I Got,” which held the top spot for three weeks, making “Ensenada” Sublime’s longest-running chart-topper to date, while also setting the record for the longest run at the top of Alternative radio in 2025. With over 11 million streams across platforms and over 20 million views on TikTok alone, “Ensenada” proving to be a breakout hit that is dominating the alternative music scene in 2025. The song marks the first fully original release from the trio since Jakob Nowell—son of founding front man Bradley Nowell—joined as lead vocalist and guitarist, signaling a powerful new chapter in the Sublime legacy. “Ensenada” was produced by Jon Joseph (BĂ˜RNS) and is the first release from the band’s highly anticipated upcoming new album, Till The Sun Explodes. Fans can stream “Ensenada” here https://sublime.ffm.to/ensenada and watch the official music video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dHT2wbJcDOY.

The Smashing Pumpkins released what would become one of the most iconic works of the decade: the sprawling double album Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness. Now, thirty years later, the band is returning with a special deluxe reissue expanding on the original album, including eighty minutes of previously unreleased recordings from the 1996 tour in support of the album.  On November 21, three new versions of Mellon Collie will be available via UMe. The album and live material will hit DSPs, while there will also be a four-disc deluxe edition CD package, featuring new liner notes written by Billy Corgan. The band has also put together a limited edition boxset essential for the diehard fans, including Mellon Collie and the 1996 Infinite Sadness tour audio on four CDs and six LPs, the new liner notes in a hardbound book, a custom tarot card deck, and seven frameable lithographs, all housed in a velvet slipcase with a cloth carrying bag.  Included in all versions, the 1996 live material is a holy grail for longtime Pumpkins devotees. Only recently discovered, the recordings showcase the original lineup at the height of their powers. Listen to the newly discovered live track, “Geek U.S.A.” From The Infinite Sadness Tour ’96, now HERE.

Canadian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Leif Vollebekk shares a new version of his song “Southern Star,” featuring award-winning Norwegian artist AURORA. The track originates from Vollebekk’s forthcoming short film of the same name, starring both Leif & AURORA together as characters in the story. A music video for “Southern Star,” composed of scenes from the film, accompanies the song released today. The short film Southern Star will premiere at a later date, with additional details to be announced soon.   Conceived by Vollebekk and directed by longtime collaborator and award-winning filmmaker Kaveh Nabatian, the film merges the cinematic tone of Vollebekk’s Revelation album with his visual storytelling.  "Revelation always reminded me of a dream sequence, the songs felt like a little movie, and I wanted to see that movie,” Vollebekk says. “AURORA and I had been fans of each other’s music for years and kept talking about finding the right way to collaborate. When I mentioned I couldn’t find a lead actor for a film I was working on, she simply said, ‘I’ll do it. Come to Norway.’ Two weeks later, we were filming. I can’t thank her enough for what she brought to it - her radiant presence, her generosity, and that unmistakable voice.”  LISTEN TO "SOUTHERN STAR FEAT. AURORA."  WATCH THE OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO.

Boston-based indie retro pop/soul seven-piece band Couch share their long-awaited debut album Big Talk out now. With their first full-length effort, the group finds their own groove, embraces love of all kinds and celebrates the opposite of small talk. Check out Couch's national television debut on CBS Saturday Sessions–see here.  The group is busy gearing up for their lengthy international headline tour, with several dates already sold out, beginning November 6 in Detroit, hitting marquee rooms across North America, the UK and Europe including Roadrunner (Boston), 9:30 Club (DC), The Fonda (LA), Brooklyn Steel (NYC) with Stephen Day, Night Talks, and Thumber. See all dates and tickets via couchtheband.com/tour

Platoon will release the soundtrack for the highly anticipated Apple Original series “Down Cemetery Road” (Series Trailer) on Wednesday, October 29th, the same day as the global premiere of the series on Apple TV.  Oscar and Grammy nominated and five-time Emmy winning composer Laura Karpman lends her considerable talent to the original soundtrack for the series. “The music for ‘Down Cemetery Road’ was truly a challenge and a pleasure to compose, representing a fusion of diverse musical elements and storytelling techniques that create a complex emotional landscape mirroring the human experience,” shares Karpman. “This ambitious work combines in-your-face percussion with large and profound English string writing, incorporating jazz references and film noir influences to create bold, direct rhythmic elements alongside lush orchestral arrangements.”

Prime Video announced the June Farms November 17 premiere date, along with the trailer and key art. The new Prime Video Original features farm owner and restaurateur Matt Baumgartner, an accomplished but demanding entrepreneur, who runs the farm, restaurant/bar and events space with the help of a team of well-intentioned 20-somethings who aren’t always on the same page as their detail-obsessed boss. Produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Superluna Studios (a 3BMG company), the eight-episode season will be available on premiere day, exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.    Matt Baumgartner, owner of June Farms, wants to make it the premiere event space in the Hudson Valley. He has his hands full every week delivering perfect bespoke weddings. With a young, vibrant staff of varying personalities, at times more focused on their love lives than their jobs and inclement weather, this wedding season turned out to be the hardest one in June Farms’ history.  Trailer Available HERE.
