- The Tom Petty Estate today unveils a comprehensive new box set, Origins 1971-1978, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the band, out November 6 via UMe. Digging into the vaults, this collection traces the sonic formation of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers in the white-hot ‘70s era, and features collaborations with legendary artists Al Kooper, Leon Russell, Jim Gordon, Emory Gordy and more, across country, folk, punk, reggae, rock and soul originals. The announcement arrives ahead of tonight’s Americana Awards, where Petty and the Heartbreakers will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award. The original members of the Heartbreakers, Mike Campbell, Benmont Tench, Stan Lynch and Ron Blair, will open the show with a special reunion performance alongside Grammy-winning superstar Chris Stapleton. Heartbreakers Steve Ferrone and Scott Thurston will join for a final song.
- Fifty years ago, Bob Marley & The Wailers headlined a four-night residency at the Hammersmith Odeon in London, England, spanning June 15-18, 1976, to kick off the second leg of their Rastaman Vibration tour. The prestigious booking was a risky move, with a ticket count five times of a usual Wailers show. They sold it out, and the group seized the moment with utter fire and precision, leaving reviewers grasping for words to describe what they’d witnessed. Bob’s time had come. For the first time ever, audiences can finally experience the magic of these seminal and sought-after shows with the release of the brand-new live album, Roots, Rock, Reggae: Live at the Hammersmith Odeon, out August 14, 2026, via Tuff Gong/Island/UMe. - Ben Folds is celebrating three decades in the spotlight with a very special anniversary edition of Ben Folds Five, the now-classic debut album from his iconic alt-rock trio. Ben Folds Five (30th Anniversary) – which, technically speaking, arrives 31 years after its original August 8, 1995 release – sees the groundbreaking original LP newly remastered and joined by the long-awaited, fan-requested un-vaulting of the band’s mythical shelved first attempt, only recently rediscovered on digital audio tape by Folds in his own personal archives and specially remastered for this release. This first try of the album, produced by Dave “Stiff” Johnson, includes early, alternate versions of seven tracks from the album, a performance of the beloved song “Evaporated,” which would ultimately be re-recorded for the band’s 1997 sophomore album, Whatever And Ever Amen, plus three rare outtakes that didn’t make the eponymous debut (“Emaline,” “Dick Holster” and “Eddie Walker”). - To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Amy Winehouse’s Back To Black, universally regarded as one of the greatest, most important, and influential albums in pop history, Republic/UMe will be reissuing this seminal album in a series of special formats which will include unreleased demos, rare B-sides, as well as a live performance from Paradiso, Amsterdam (February 8, 2007) from the Back To Black tour. - Legendary Hip Hop group De La Soul has released the official video for “Run It Back!!” featuring Nas, one of the standout tracks from the group’s critically acclaimed tenth studio album, Cabin in the Sky, released via Mass Appeal. - Dexys Midnight Runners have released their new single, "You’ve Got The Love," the latest track to be taken from their forthcoming new album, LOVE, out on September 4, 2026 on Heavenly Recordings. Following on from the last single, "My Life In England Pt.1," "You’ve Got The Love" swirls with a melodious, timeless string section, a Philly disco rhythm track and a vocal from Kevin Rowland that makes the most of the song's simple and effective title.
