Around the Tubes: March 28, 2026

I have gotten a plethora of cool press releases flooding my inbox recently that you may find interesting. This post includes blurbs on Raye, Sublime, Fatboy Slim, Johanna Samuels, and America Says.

Following a show-stopping performance at tonight's iHeartRadio Music Awards, where she performed her Top 10 pop radio hit “WHERE IS MY HUSBAND! and presented the "Pop Album of the Year" award to Taylor Swift , four-time GRAMMY Award®-nominated global superstar RAYE releases her highly anticipated sophomore album, THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE., available now on all digital streaming platforms via Human Re Sources. The monumental body-of-work unfolds in four “seasons,” with each side of the vinyl representing a different chapter in a sonic journey that moves from darkness to light.  STREAM HERE // PURCHASE HERE.  Speaking on the album, RAYE shares: “Music is medicine, I’ve always said that. I guess I’m in the process of making medicine for myself that I can share with the world. I want us all to say to ourselves that it’s going to be all right, and I’m going to have faith in the seeds that I’ve planted beneath the snow. I wanted to create something that is a hug, bed or soft place for that person who needs it.”

After nearly 3 decades, Sublime return with Until the Sun Explodes, their first full-length album with Jakob Nowell as front man, arriving June 12 on Atlantic Records. Featuring collaborations with H.R. of Bad Brains, Fletcher Dragge of Pennywise, G Love and more, the album stays rooted in the band’s classic sound while opening a new chapter. The title track and lead single, “Until The Sun Explodes,” finds Jakob Nowell honoring his late father, Bradley Nowell, and is available to stream now. Fans can pre-save the album HERE and watch the “Until The Sun Explodes” music video HERE.  The official music video for “Until The Sun Explodes” moves through various locations in Long Beach tied to the history of Sublime, where their presence feels embedded in the city. A timeless backyard party scene bridges multiple generations, featuring appearances by skateboard legends Christian Hosoi and Omar Hassan, representing Southern California’s punk and skate culture. Bradley Nowell’s influence and presence ties every band member to the moment, linking their legacy, the city and the next generation.

Dance music legend Fatboy Slim is returning to the desert this April for a headline performance at Coachella, where he will take over the Quasar Stage on Sunday, April 12 during Weekend 1. Known for its extended two to three-hour set times and massive, immersive LED walls, the Quasar Stage is designed to give artists the space to stretch out, go deeper, and take fans on a full journey—free from the constraints of a traditional shorter festival slot—making it the perfect setting for one of the most dynamic DJs in the world. The full performance will stream live on Coachella’s YouTube allowing for viewers around the world to enjoy Fatboy Slim’s sure-to-be epic set.  Ahead of Coachella, Fatboy Slim will warm up with two special U.S. shows: April 10 at Silo in Dallas and April 11 at The Concourse Project in Austin.

Los Angeles songwriter and artist Johanna Samuels today unveils the single “White Limousine”, her first new music since 2024 — alongside the announcement of her signing to Odd Man Out Records.   Produced by Jonathan Rado (Foxygen, Weyes Blood, Miley Cyrus) and featuring vocals from Courtney Marie Andrews, the lushly orchestrated, piano-driven track was initially penned in the early 2000s, following Samuels’ first-ever panic attack.  Watch the music video for “White Limousine” HERE.

AMERICA SAYS, hosted by Emmy®-nominated game show host John Michael Higgins, is a fast-paced studio game show where two teams of friends and family face off to guess America’s responses to fill-in-the-blank survey questions covering every topic under the sun. They have to be quick when trying to think of what America says, as time is always ticking and the team with the most money banked after three rounds will head to a bonus round to see if they can win up to $15,000.  AMERICA SAYS, produced by Game Show Enterprises Studios for Game Show Network, is based on a format by Keller/Noll. Vin Rubino serves as executive producer.
