57 Channels and Only This Is On: April 28, 2019

Supergirl: After eighty years of Superman, you just kind of have to accept that everyone around him and Supergirl are blind and just do not notice them when they put on glasses, but seriously, no one realize Kara is Supergirl in the middle of a riot in a men’s prison that Supergirl started?
Supergirl on iTunes.

Killing Eve: The first couple episodes were kind of a bore, but at least th assissin is, you know, assassinating again. That tie gag was pretty entertaining. I doubt she is going to pull off “boring and strait” going forward which I guess is why she is back with Constantine. How long will that last?
You can download Killing Eve on iTunes.

Billions: It only took half the season but we finally get a sighting of Bobby’s baby momma, and what it may seem like it may be the last. Usually Chuck getting beat is always the low for any episode, but seeing Wags in a dress may actually be worse. But the ending is exactly why someone calling themselves “they” is stupid because when you really want to use that person in a plural you have to specify.

Good Girls: So Ruby is just going to go to prison and let her brother go too for Beth? I am sure there is a twist coming soon that will make the investigation go away, but this just does not make much sense to me. That twist better happen soon.
You can download Good Girls on iTunes

The Chi: How messed up is our legal system if a guy who confesses in detail to a murder, there is an eye witness to the crime, gets released that easily?

The Bold Type: Wait, the new editor has a boyfriend? I thought for sure he was brought in to possibly be the third side of a love triangle with Jane and Pinstripe.
You can download The Bold Type on iTunes.

The Act: With that end tag of admitting to dramatizing aspect of the story leads me to question almost everything, but as much as I wish no one was stupid to post their murder on their shared Facebook page with the person they killed, I definitely believe this two would be that stupid. Especially the part of leaving the geo-tagging on. But I hope all the trial scenes in the final feature copious amounts of reaction shots and commentary from the neighbors like the Jury on Survivor. Their reaction shot to Gypsy walking was fun.
You can stream The Act on Hulu.

Survivor: Edge of Extinction: Last week I said it was stupid for Wardog to turn on Kelley because if you are the second biggest threat in the game, you do not want to target the first because then you are the biggest threat. And everyone recognized this and promptly sent Wardog to sit next to Kelley on the jury. But unlike Kelley, Wardog has no chance of beating eight or nine other people to get back in the game. As Gabby from David vs. Goliath said when Wardog responded, “Not over yet” after she welcomed him into the eighth place club, “Wardog my man I’ve seen u in challenges.” Really the only thing that could have been better than that Tweet this week would have been had Lauren stood up after Wardog was voted off and screamed, “The North remembers!”
You can download Survivor: Edge of Extinction on iTunes.

Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists: So the black chick bashed the black dude in the head and he breaks into her hospital room after she gets run over by a car to say… I am not entirely sure what was going on in that scene. And if he did not run her over, who did?
You can download Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists on iTunes.

The Challenge: War of World: Poor Nany, I actually though she was going to win this season, and then they had to go and dissolve the team, and worse, her old teammate Turbo was pretty much the reason Nany lost. And how pathetic was Wes’s taping skill? It was shocking how fast Georgia got out of that.
You can download The Challenge: War of Worlds on iTunes.

Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger: Oh snap, Rebecca Logan is evil. I guess I should have seen that coming. And a grief support group does seem like a great place to find girls considering they just obviously lost someone and could very well be alone. But I don’t know, maybe you do not try to kidnap a girl who can create light daggers and light bombs.
You can download Marvel's Cloak and Dagger on iTunes.

Gotham: Well we finally got Batman, an actual full episode of Batman even if he spent most of the time in the shadows. But I guess it is understandable because the one full show of Batman e got looked very CGI. Certainly was not the little kid from the show. We also got a different Catwoman in what was either a bad perm or a wig. But at least they got an equally bad actress, so that was consistent. Never quite figured out who Barbra Keen was. They teased her to be Harley Quinn for a season but never ended up pulling that trigger. Then she shows up ten years later with red hair for no apparent reason (other than I guess they needed a reason why her daughter was a redhead). I actually thought she was Poison Ivy at first. Weird she or really any of the other rouges gallery that were not main characters showed up for the finale. Could have had them just hang out in Arkham with The Riddler. Speaking of the younger Barbra, I kind of feel bad for the kid knowing when she got stolen by The Joker what The Joker would do to her eventually. Though when The Joker shot the elder Barbra, I thought she was going to be the one that ends up in a wheelchair because of it. But the worst of all, why have Gordon crow his iconic mustache just to have him quickly shave it off?
You can download Gotham on iTunes.

Doom Patrol: Well that was filler. And what happened to Beard Hunter at the end of last episode? But at least we got another Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man update. I wonder if the team runs into him later this season.

The Blacklist: Oh wow, Lizzy told Red it was her who turned him in. I really though Red was going to shoot Dembe during his speech because he has shot a couple people from a chair after giving a long speech before. Then in the second episode we finally get fake Red’s origin story. But just where is Lizzy’s mom now? I vaguely remember teasing her but I do not believe we have ever actually seen her in present day or know what happened to her.
You can download The Blacklist on iTunes.

57 Channels and Only This Is On: April 21, 2019

Killing Eve: Hopefully now that the assassin ha a new handler she starts going on missions because these first two episodes have been a bit of a bore without her targeting someone. Granted the last time she got a new handler, she killed him. But I did love her code to call her bosses was a Clueless reference.
You can download Killing Eve on iTunes.

Billions: Whenever I see a woman throw up on screen, for some reason I have been conditioned to think she is pregnant. That crossed my mind for a second with Taylor. Then it was beyond obvious to me when it happened that that Axe’s boat was not boke but wanted more time with the investor though we never did get the scene of him revealing that Machiavellian scheme saying the coast guard was in on it. Again, I have been conditioned to think these things. I apparently was wrong on both accounts.

Good Girls: They are really going to tease out Ruby turning on Beth, aren’t they? I bet the FBI dies before that happens. Hopefully they do not wait until the finale.
You can download Good Girls on iTunes

The Act: When you need an evil grandmother, of course you bring in Mags Bennett. Kind of wish the whole episode was flashbacks because Gypsy and creepy guy added nothing this week. Especially since next week is entitled Bonnie and Clyde so presumably that episode will be them on the run already. We really could have used more time with Dee Dee and her mother. But we did get the origin story of the wheelchair and where Dee Dee became overly protective. I still would have liked seeing where the genesis of the feeding tube came in because that had to be a big con by Dee Dee if it seems like Gypsy never really needed it.
You can stream The Act on Hulu.

Survivor: Edge of Extinction: Oh Wardog, you were playing this great game subtly decimating the Kama tribe, and then in two fell swoops you just eliminated your two biggest shields. I get David, he was coming for you but Kelley makes absolutely no sense. You do not take the biggest target out of the game if you are the second biggest target. Victoria has been playing a very shrewd game so I can totally see her swing back with Gavin to team up with the spited Lauren and Julie. The big question I guess is where does Aurora land? In the past she says she goes with the numbers, but she just seemed to make a pact with Ron, so her and her Extra Vote could put the new Power Trio in an actual power position. Granted how apropos it would be if Wardog goes out because Lauren plays her Idol.
You can download Survivor: Edge of Extinction on iTunes.

Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists: Oh snap, black chick got frisky… and then gets run over for her trouble. Could the guy who’s head she bashed in come to fast enough to mow her down? Honestly, I do not particularly care considering we still do not know who murdered the douchy guy from the first episode. And I vaguely remember Hanna getting run over and that reveal turning out to be lame.
You can download Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists on iTunes.

The Challenge: War of World: Ugg, they were doing so well this season, eliminating one team per episode and as we inch to the end we get an annoying cliffhanger. And Georgia can only pick three people, it is not worth waiting to find out. Seriously, this is the very reason so many people wait until the end to binge shows not.
You can download The Challenge: War of Worlds on iTunes.

Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger: We finally get to see inside Cloak’s dimension and… well it looks a lot like what he sees when he touches someone and sees their fear. And the way to get out was for Dagger to break the rules?
You can download Marvel's Cloak and Dagger on iTunes.

Gotham: Well that came together as a fitting finale… except there is still one more to go. I guess we will get a full Batman episode which seems like it will just be Batman Begins. Well, they already did Dark Knight Rises for the last couple episodes anyway.
You can download Gotham on iTunes.

Doom Patrol: I was really excited for the idea of Beard Hunter, then he had and go and eat sink hair. Eww. I could have done without that.

Blindspot: A little disappointing that Weller’s mother just turned out to be a junkie that was taken advantage of by Sandstorm. Oh well, on the other hand it would have been way too predictable.
You can download Blindspot on iTunes.

The Blacklist: Yep, I called it was an inside job when they “killed” the kid when the father did not pay.

57 Channels and Only This Is On: April 14, 2019

Killing Eve: Nothing worse than when something is overhyped when it turns out to be just good. After all the buzz around this show I decided to give it a try when it popped on Hulu earlier this year. And it was perfectly fine, certainly not worth all the praise it got when it first aired. And after finished the first season I was kind of surprised that Sandra Oh got all the award recognition when the crazy French assassin was the best part of the show. And by best, I man pretty most the only good part. I do understand The French assassin’s obsession with Eve on account she is crazy, but I never quite understood why Eve replicated especially after the assassin killed her buddy. The season two premiere was a bit of a bore, probably because the crazy French assassin spent most of the episode in the hospital. But she did give us the two most memorable parts when she posed as a doctor why she was looking for money to steal and then killing the kid after he mentioned he wanted to die.
You can download Killing Eve on iTunes.

Billions: Again we start up with another meeting between Axe and Chuck, and even end t to boot. And this season has been a little lack luster with those two actually being buddy-buddy. Maybe we can get some tension with Wendy going to war with Chuck over this because Axe vs. Taylor is not cutting it. Wendy was conspicuously absent from Chuck’s victory speech.

Good Girls: Oh snap, Ruby is snitching! But just what will she say? Dude wants Beth for some unknown reason to me. How about going after the actual gangster? But how does Beth actually get out of this? I have a feeling it is going to be some not really makes any sense way like how Ray Donovan somehow seems to skate by beside a mountain of evidence.
You can download Good Girls on iTunes

The Bold Type: So Jane learns her new boss exposed himself at his old job but later discovers he did it in a pro-feminist way? Wait, what?!? Um, no matter how noble the reason, there is no good reason to pull your junk out in front of your boss and a female co-worker. This may win most absurd plotline of the year. And it will only get worse when Jane inevitably starts forking the dude.
You can download The Bold Type on iTunes.

The Act: Oh my goodness, this episode was so creepy. From everything that happened in that movie theater, which is just what a romantic comedy would look like if everything went wrong, to Gypsy buying a knife. And as creepy as that boy is, it is just as funny to think of how much of a tool that kid is. I actually worked in a pizza parlor for a summer so I got a huge kick at just how incompetent that kid is. Yet what a dichotomy of the person who he thinks he is and who he really is, just perfectly mirrors Gypsy who is really living two lives herself, who she wants to be and who her mother thinks she is. But if the actual act goes down next week, that means we will two episode of aftermath. I am fine with that. I kind of really want to know where is Gypsy now. I have avoided Googling because I do not want to spoil the show.
You can stream The Act on Hulu.

Survivor: Edge of Extinction: Well, they teased a wild Tribal and we certainly got a wild Tribal which lasted half the episode. I do not remember anyone playing themselves out of the game faster at Tribal than Julia who just blew up her game with some assist from Aurora who just openly admits working with both halves of the Lesu divide. The closest thing I can think of was the guy who lost to the porn star in Thailand who just started attacking everyone at the Final Tribal Council. It was so wild I even missed some big moments the first time I watched like Ron throwing out Victoria’s name with Victoria over his shoulder.

But the thing is, the Tribal could have been much wilder. Sure it is fun watching people running around during Tribal, but in the end, it was a very straight, almost unanimous vote, had Julia and Aurora not given away their plan or spooked Julie, it could have been wilder. We learned from Kelley when David asked her that the plan was actually David. But Victoria and Julia both on Twitter confirmed that Kelley was actually the plan going in. So presumably the Kama six would be voting for Kelley, the Lesu three voting for David and who knows who David and Rick were voting for. But it also seemed obvious that David and Rick were reforming their Idol to play for David. And you have to believe that if David plays an Idol, Kelley would play hers, followed by Lauren. Leaving whoever David and Rick voted for. Unless they vote for Kelley then we would have had a revote where no one who received votes would be eligible to vote for. Which would have been really wild.
You can download Survivor: Edge of Extinction on iTunes.

Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists: So we end the episode with both O.G. Liars trapped, Mona by the creepy janitor while Alison is in the trailer of a dead girl. Who knew those locked from the outside? Most interesting to happen since the first episode.
You can download Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists on iTunes.

The Challenge: War of World: Good riddance Bear, please do not ever come back.
You can download The Challenge: War of Worlds on iTunes.

Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger: So much for Mayhem, already sucked into Cloak’s Void but instead of Derek like in Janet’s Void, the cop who killed her boyfriend is there as the only other person sucked in there. Although since the Void seems to be similar to what Cloak sees when he touches people, his Void is filled with your fears. How fun.
You can download Marvel's Cloak and Dagger on iTunes.

Doom Patrol: Finally, what I have been waiting for since it was first talked about: The Underground. And it, mostly, did not disappoint. The explanation as to why some of the personalities look like Jane, that no one knows, was a little lame. Weird that Karen was one of them that looks like Janes, seems like they should have cast some generic blonde who looks like she came from the Hallmark Channel. But I loved that there was personality jail. And we really need more of Penny Farthing.

Blindspot: I just how loved how Rich believe that Bill Nye the Science Guy was some secret supervillain. But it turns out Kurt’s mother is alive. I do not really remember her ever even being mentioned on the show before. I remember his father was suspected of kidnapping a person that everyone thought was Jane for a couple seasons.
You can download Blindspot on iTunes.

The Blacklist: Well, that was one of the more warped Blacklisters to date. Maybe top five. But it looks like we are back at the beginning of the season with Ressler looking into Red’s real identity and Red looking for who put him in prison.
You can download The Blacklist on iTunes.

57 Channels and Only This Is On: April 7, 2019

Supergirl: Weird that the alien hating Ben Lockwood had a very that cannot possibly be Supergirl look on his face instead of an of course all aliens are evil look. I bet he actually starts defending her soon. But I do wonder if the president is in cahoots with Lex Luther.
Supergirl on iTunes.

Billions: I wonder what came first: the Chicken Man storyline or if the writers just wanted to put a Springsteen song in the show and Atlantic City talked about a chicken man in the first line? Or could someone have possibly heard that Chicken Bill song? At any rate, the ending to that storyline was funny. At least finally we got someone who uses old timey pronouns to talk about Taylor. Makes it much easier to tell that someone is not talking about multiple people despite using plural pronouns. And was that Michael Bolton with a bad haircut at the fundraiser? Then we went three for three in Chuck and Axe scenes this season. Are we going to go a full season of them meeting? I do hope that if (when) Axe helps Chuck to become Attorney General, Chuck then does prosecute Axe.

The Walking Dead: My first thought as a blizzard was bearing down on the Kingdom people, my first thought was, why not check the weather first. Yeah, there is no way I could survive a zombie apocalypse or even world without power. I am constantly checking the weather. But when dis Alexandria become the wide open space where people could get lost even in a blizzard? Shouldn’t muscle memory kick in? And I was a bit confused what was going on with Alpha. It sounded like she left for a bit in time and then comes back to be whipped? What is going on there?
You can download The Walking Dead on iTunes.

Black Monday: Well they took about ten minutes to explain how it was Blair and Dawn who were running the Georgina Play on Mo and I am still a little confused. And a pretty cheap reveal that it was Mo’s presumed dead mentor who ended up being the person who crashed down on his stretch Lambo by grabbing Blair’s tie with the pin on it. But so is the other Lehman Brother now dead since the old dude fell on him?

The Act: How ironic after making Gypsy think she was sick all this time, it is DeeDee who has an actual life threatening disease. And earlier I wondered how no doctor did anything about Gypsy not being as sick as DeeDee let on,, I also wonder why no one really questioned why DeeDee said Gypsy was four years younger than what her Medicaid card said? And was that dad on the phone wanting to wish her a happy birthday? I believe that was his first appearance. So what exactly was his deal? He cares enough to call on her birthday, but never actually visits and Gypsy does not seem to know anything about him. Then, just when you thought the show could not get any weirder, Gypsy gets introduced to BDSM. And that was the second guy she met on a Christian dating site, the first sent her a picture of his junk. My goodness.
You can stream The Act on Hulu.

Survivor: Edge of Extinction: Had someone told me before the episode aired that one of the Kama Six would go home even though Devins did not align with his former tribe and neither Kelley or Lauren played their Idol I would have punched them in the face and told them April Fool’s Jokes are not funny and you are two days late anyway. But shockingly three of the Kama six joined Joe’s lackey and Lese to boot one of their own.

I was shocked two weeks ago when Wardog came up with a pretty smart plan of voting for Wendy because if they were tied, Kama would not go to rocks for Wendy and they didn’t. Then this week he came up with a smart plan of going to rocks with Lesu and Joe’s Lackey going to rocks against the six that voted for rocks. And even when Devins stupidly rather be seven in an alliance of six, he somehow orchestrated a better plan that did not even involve rock by convincing the black chick, the redhead, and the hillbilly (I still have no idea who any of these Kama people are to take out one of their own. Wardog is the type of annoying hard head they you do kind of want to sit next to in final tribal, but between these two moves, he does have a good argument to make that he deserves to win.

Still, I want to see the scene where those Kama players actually convinced Kelley and Lauren that they would vote with them to the point where they were convinced enough to not play their Idol. Sure they do not know it, but the redhead making Aubrey thinking she was with her is exactly how she blindsides Aubrey with an Idol in her pocket. But these are truly the greatest Tribal when the people in the dominate alliance act annoyingly smug only to be blindsided. The title of the episodes was the old guy’s most smug quote about how he is the puppet master. And his reaction was priceless when that fourth vote for his buddy came up.

Hopefully he is next although looking at the promo it is going to be a wild one. The brunette Kama chick tell old dude and the blonde she wants David, Lauren tells the black chick she wants Ron, Kelley suggest the brunette to Wardog, the redhead tells unseen people Kelley. This all culminates with Aubrey actively trying to be made into an overtly shocked gif with Probst saying he has never seen anything like it (okay, Probst is the king of hyperbole so it may be over exaggerated). But with three Idols split amongst four people and an Extra Vote floating around three distinct voting blocs (the Lesu 4, the Kama 4, and the three that were blindsided this week), should be a wild one.
You can download Survivor: Edge of Extinction on iTunes.

Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists: So we got our first murder suspect (assuming you do not count the three people who actually talked about throwing the dude off the roof). Although the he chews the same gum is a pretty flimsy thing to pin a murder on someone.
You can download Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists on iTunes.

The Challenge: War of World: Well the no more teams is really going to hurt my Nany/Turbo pick. Although my imaginary bookie still has to pay out if Turbo wins, right? Lucky for everyone else they did get a British person out (and the biggest one to boot) right before the switch and now they are down to three. Now the question how will the voting block break down now that there are no teams? I wonder if the teams will actually stick together. Hunter and Georgia will likely not work together but everyone else seems to be on good term. There is also the question of if the elimination will not be gender specific are will they be able to call out anyone?
You can download The Challenge: War of Worlds on iTunes.

Cloak and Dagger: When Hot Lady Cop saw herself in the reflection; I thought for sure this was a Jekyll and Hyde situation. Nope, actually two of them. This should get interesting. Though I was not entirely sure how Cloak could easily transport the gangs money and drugs with him but was not able to transport a person.
You can download Marvel's Cloak and Dagger on iTunes.

Doom Patrol: After last episode’s loll, though we might have hit a speed bump on the show, but then they follow up their weakest episode by introducing a living street. Awesome. And then Diane may be the most entertaining Crazy Jane personality to date. A nineties rom-com lover who can make anyone, presumably with a heart which is why it did not work on Robot Man, fall in love with her and do her bidding. Again, great. But it looks like next week we are actually going to go inside Crazy Jane’s head, which will likely be another outstanding episode.

Blindspot: It seemed like they were really playing fast and loose with time this episode. Can you really get to upstate New York that fast. They should have had a 24 type clock and had the episode play out in real time.
You can download Blindspot on iTunes.

The Blacklist: Based on last week’s promo, I thought maybe the rest of this season would be Haram vs. Red but the former gave up on his quest for Sammar pretty quickly. Instead this week, it looks like they are finally going back to Red trying to figure out who had him arrested. Maybe at the end of it, Lizzie will finally figure out who Red really is.
You can download The Blacklist on iTunes.

57 Channels and Only This Is On: March 31, 2019

Supergirl: So we get the Lex backstory by then Superman was conspicuously absent from even the trial. But we did get the Md. Tessmacher backstory… well except why exactly why she is obsessed with Lex but now we know why such an overqualified person was an assistant at Catco. But I do wonder if they did this Russian Supergirl storyline just to have someone on the show with a worse accent than Lena.
Supergirl on iTunes.

Billions: The new money girl certainly looks like Axe’s wife… ex-wife? I kind of forget their status. I believe they are just separated and she moved the kids to the west coast. And she also kind of looks like Taylor’s new version of Wendy. I actually thought that was the new money lady coming to Taylor later in the episode for a second. But it is really weird seeing Chuck and Axe in the same scene in two straight episodes. The show was better when they were at each other’s throats but only came face to face once or twice per episode. I do wonder which one will end this truce first. It has to happen eventually.

The Walking Dead: They say you save the best for last, and thought the heads on spikes parade was going to end on the pregnant Rosalita, but they really ended with the annoying kid? I never really cared for him at all and am kind of glad he died. Although was that not Rosalita in the second to last spot? I thought I saw her later. So maybe that was Tara? Everyone else was kind of a yawn. I think that redhead only had one line and that was earlier in the episode. Although this all begs the question, just how can you kidnap seven(ish) people from a carnival without anyone noticing until the daughter told the King? And if Tara is dead, who is the new leader of Hilltop? Did we ever get an explanation on Maggie? Is the show being vague in the hopes that her new show will fail (which it pretty much is)?
You can download The Walking Dead on iTunes.

Good Girls: Maybe I forgot, but I did just notice that they were trying to scam Cloud 9 from Superstore. It is a shame they could not get the actual actors to play the clerks.
You can download Good Girls on iTunes

Black Monday: Okay, so just how long has Blair been conning everyone? We get confirmation that he is a gay-homosexual this week so has he been running the Georgina play this whole time and then was scamming Mo? Was scamming Mo this whole time the plan or did he just needed someone at Wall Street and since that was the only job he could get thanks to Mo, he went with it?

The Act: Gypsy gets her first kiss. Oh was that weird and awkward. And of course DeeDee showing up was the only way it could have gotten any weirder.
You can stream The Act on Hulu.

Survivor: Edge of Extinction: It is always weird to hear people talk about their majority that is not an actual majority. I remember the last Fans vs. Favorites season there was a four person alliance in a Tribe of ten who thought they had the numbers and then promptly started getting voted out. Luckily for this six person “majority” in a tribe of thirteen, they actually got those seven other players to vote for each other. Granted, now six-six, those non-“majority” players have three Idols between then. They just got to figure out how they can work together considering they voted one of them out and tried to do it again. David is really going to need to mend those fences. Although it may not be six-six because the Promo Monkey makes it looks like someone dies. Has to be Wardog, dude has been pretty incompetent so far.

Sure the vote was surprising but so was the jury showing up already. I do wonder if the jury will be everyone who does not quite, or did they just bring everyone to Tribal just in case they make it back in the game, but the actual Jury will just be the last nine or ten that were booted. Probably the former just so they can get more screen time for Aubrey and Joe.
You can download Survivor: Edge of Extinction on iTunes.

Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists: So we got an update on Hanna and Spencer (sorry other two Liars). Although I really want a Hermie the Hermaphadite update. But as wild as the first episode with the douchebag blackmailing everyone and then dying, kind of a boring second episode. I wonder when the not dead sister comes back into play.
You can download Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists on iTunes.

The Challenge: War of World: Oh Georgia, what is wrong with you? You literally get caught as the other woman and yet end the episode back with Bear who inexplicably keeps winning on the Killing Floor. Dude needs to go away soon.
You can download The Challenge: War of Worlds on iTunes.

Doom Patrol: I was going to call this the first meh episode, but then they had to end it with a rat called Admiral Whiskers. Awesome.

The Blacklist: Red gets his stay of execution and a weird episode to mark his escape by meeting his mentor and getting screwed over by that mentor one more time. Second episode was even more unexpected with what looks to be the exit of Samar. So how did Red know the next target was going to happen in America? Did he know it was going to be Samar?
You can download The Blacklist on iTunes.

57 Channels and Only This Is On: March 24, 2019

Supergirl: Oh snap, Miss Tessmaucher is evil. Oh wait, she says she has been evil this whole time? I guess maybe why someone with an advanced degree was an assistant to Cat Grant, but um, how exactly did that help with Lex Luthor’s plan? She need to have Cat leave, get close to James and have James get close to Lena. Maybe it will be better explained next week which I believe is a flashback episode of how Lex planned all this. And is Manchester gone forever? I guess it makes sense that he had this death wish so he can be with his dead girlfriend, but did not really get his revenge first.
Supergirl on iTunes.

The Walking Dead: Did I miss how Michonne and Daryl got out of their restraints after being captures by the Lord of the Flies gang? But I guess when Michonne has to kill a bunch of children because she let someone she trusted into Alexandra is a good reason to not let anyone new in after that.
You can download The Walking Dead on iTunes.

Good Girls: When they learned about the every growing landfill, I thought they would actually take the body their instead of dumping it in the trash. Seems like a lot could go wrong with the body getting discovered before making it to the dump. Of course that might be the point.
You can download Good Girls on iTunes

Black Monday: A little jarring when you see that the episode takes us all the way back to seven thousand days before Black Monday. Although a bit disappointing that half the episode took place a day after the last episode and the far back half was just a red herring to make you think that Mo was capable of kidnapping only for it to be her parents which likely will be the reason Blair comes on board the plan.

The Act: The one thing that really bothered me with this whole story is if DeeDee was really faking Gypsy’s illnesses, how exactly was she able to get away with this from a doctor? Well we did see in the second episode one doctor try to get to the bottom of things, even going as far as to call Child Protective Services. But now I am left to wonder why stop? Was it just because the social worker could not find enough to go any further?
You can stream The Act on Hulu.

Survivor: Edge of Extinction: Once Immunity has been won, it is usually pretty obvious who is going home. Sure the editors will try to make you think there is another option and occasionally there are some shocking twist but ninety [percent of the time you can easily guess who it is. Like in the first hour, seemed pretty obvious Aubrey was going to be voted out because all the dominate tribe has talked about is how the returning players did not deserve to come back. Sure there was a chance the redhead ended up going with the all-chick alliance or Aubrey pulled out her Idol, but that turned out the case.

As for the second hour we had the very rare, I have no clue what was going to happen. We had five vs. five going into Tribal. Except Wendy was the only person who had not been with her tribe the whole time, and yet, she kind of hated her old tribe. Then it seemed like David and the redhead could very well switch instead of going to rock (anyone who goes to rocks is a moron, alliances do not matter anymore, just get yourself to tomorrow). Oh, and both Lauren and Wentworth have Idols.

Shockingly Wardog came up with a reasonable plan and even more shocking, it actually went off without a hitch. I mocked Wardog all episode for being the least athletic fit looking dude who could not even throw a bag despite a Yankee’s tattoo on his arm, but he somehow pulled that out of his noggin. Although all the whispering that we were not privy to via subtitles were a bit annoying. What exactly did David and Wendy talk about? Was that just a giant ruse? Did he try to sway her to vote with them? Get the name of who she was voting for? We will never know.

But we finally get the Edge of Extinction playing out next week. Crazy thing is, I was thinking if Aubrey is the player who returns (which is likely the producer’s pick) the former Manu could end up in the majority post merge. There are just four original Manu left, Aubrey would likely join them out of spite and bring Joe because he would also be targeted as a returning player and then they could recruit Aurora who also seemed on the out too. Then that would be seven to the remaining original Kama’s six. But if not Aubrey, will a former Manu player come back into the game bitter and will be fine at the bottom of Kama or try again with people who already booted them? Though the worst case scenario for everyone would be Wendy returning who would just be pure chaos.

Okay, one more group of questions: so do the losers that do not win their way back in the game go back to Edge of Extinction or are their torches snuffed again? Or is this going to be like Redemption Island where the deck is cleared and everyone post merge goes there and has a chance to come back in at around four left? Or are we done with Edge of Extinction?

The Challenge: War of World: There is an old saying that Ginger Rogers did everything Fred Astaire did but backwards and in heels. I thought of that this week because I believe every team had the chick walk backwards in this challenge. But I am really ready for Bear to be off my television screen. Just deport him to Ex on the Beach or something. But weird play from Wes. Targets the British alliance last week then burns a vote on one and votes in a very weak team. For a self-proclaimed genius, that seemed like a very weak play.
You can download The Challenge: War of Worlds on iTunes.

Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists: Pretty Little Liars was a drag. They stretched out who was A way too long and just became a chore to watch the longer it went. So I was dreading watching the spin-off because the last one sucked. But then started explaining the plot of the first episode to someone: there is a dude who is dating a hot black chick, forking a hot Latina who he broke up with by letting her walking in on him forking some random which chick, oh yeah, and he is blackmailing the nerdy white dude he also forked. And then he was thrown off a building. Okay, that was kind of an awesome premiere. And I did not even get to the gay politician who got taped cheating on her wife with a dude. Hopefully they do not take five seasons to figure out who killed the guy.
You can download Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists on iTunes.

Deadly Class: Not one but two cliffhangers to end the season (especially considering the rating puts a renewal in the toss up category)? And just how did the cartel people know where everybody was?
You can download Deadly Class on iTunes.

Gotham: Mmm, an Al-Gul daughter plans an elaborate scheme to punish her father’s killer with the help of Bane… where have I heard that one before? And then why is the show taking a month off if there is just two episodes left? Just finish it now.
You can download Gotham on iTunes.

Doom Patrol: Well that got dark. But hey, the new Doom Patrol has one more member and a Cyborg so maybe that will even the odds in their next battle. But what exactly has Mr. Nobody been doing since that battle, just plotting for a couple decades?

Blindspot: Oh yeah, the evil therapist is still alive. For some reason I was thinking he was killed by an explosion. I guys the scars means he survived the blast.
You can download Blindspot on iTunes.

The Blacklist: So Red was able to bluff his way out of his execution and somehow also inadvertently uncovered the very conspiracy that was trying to kill him. Although now that he is out, isn’t he going to track down the person who put him in prison? And though Liz says she no longer cares who Red really is, what about her sister?

Supergirl: Did they already disband The Elite? They were the only remotely non-horrible part of this season. Oh well, next week we get Lex Luthur. Meh.
Supergirl on iTunes.

Shameless: Fiona seemly got fleeced on that deal. All she got was her $100,000 back. At least get some interest if that dude stands to make money on the deal. Then she gives half to Debbie. $50,000 may last a couple years if you are frugal, but Fiona has not been the best at money. And flying south without a plan is not a great way to manage money. But hey, when changes her mind and want to rejoin the cast in half a season like Ian did, I guess that would make storyline sense.

The Walking Dead: I do not understand the argument of not going back to Hilltop. The Whisperers are just going to assume you are going there if you are or not. I really doubt they are going to knock on the door, be told the daughter is not there, and then say sorry and leave. I doubt they would leave unless they get proof and Hilltop cannot prove a false negative so there is going to be a showdown if you go there or not. I also do not understand stopping either. The Whisperers walk with slow moving zombies, they are easy to outrun.
You can download The Walking Dead on iTunes.

Black Monday: So the SEC has been leaning on Keith for three months? I guess that is the problem with doing a show that takes place over a year in just ten half hour episodes. The SEC nabs Keith with 122 days to go and the next episode is 65. But interesting Mo actually came clean on his long con and that just blew up. So how is he going to get back on track? Marry Tiff himself? Or was that him behind both kidnappings in the episode? Next episode is 7042, which would be… 19 years ago? That should be interesting.

The Passage: Just when you think these people cannot get any dumber, that actually had a contingency plan by planting bombs in their bunker… except the forking morons did not seem to kill any of the vampires in the explosion. I kind of wonder if Shawna was lying and that the black scientist was turned and survived the bomb and will pop up at some point in season two. Actually, will anyone be around in season two after all the other countries nuked the U.S.? Amy survives because we see he decades in the future. Fanning we saw in Amy’s future vision. So are these vampires like cockroaches that can survive explosions in enclosed bunkers and nuclear fallout? Yet that black Bible spouting chick seemingly can kill them pretty easily. As for the rest of the cast, Zach Morris and his ex-wife were given the cure but seem to have some vampire properties. Zach’s army buddy seems to be in the same situation except we do not really learn how Shawna saved him. Then will this next season be exclusively in the distant future or will it split between present day? I guess the biggest question is, will there even be a second season?
You can download The Passage on iTunes.

Survivor: Edge of Extinction: Every season we have a swap and conspicuously every swap you can spot Probst shoving certain platters or bags towards certain players making me wonder just how random was the swap. Then we ended up with a pretty statistically improbable result of the minority tribe all ending up on the same tribe except the one member who was on the outs. And of course they continue to lose.
You can download Survivor: Edge of Extinction on iTunes.

The Challenge: War of World: Well after we got our first English player to go him last week, Wes orchestrates to get rid of another… and fails the only way Was can. For a self-proclaimed genius, his plans fail quite miserable all the time.
You can download The Challenge: War of Worlds on iTunes.

Deadly Class: So the headmaster and the hot Asian assassin are linked… sort of. He knew her father. They kind of teased they were related a couple times and now we know what is really going on there. But so much for the speech on protecting her when her father died because she just straight up abandoned him. Granted, what exactly could she have done when the Cartel rolled up to the Headmaster’s home? That and the raid on the crazy person should make for an interesting finale.
You can download Deadly Class on iTunes.

Doom Patrol: Oh my goodness, a Cult of the Recreator. How stupid and how great. But what exactly is Mr. Nobody up to by telling Crazy Jane about Doom Patrol? I guess they had a team name yet, but a weird reveal for the name he planted almost forty years ago. But this is a weird show so it will likely play out is a great way.

Blindspot: So are they selling that game? If not they are missing out on some money… from me at least. I kind of want to play.
You can download Blindspot on iTunes.

The Blacklist: So Red knew of a plot that goes all the way to the top. But did he know it went all the way to the tippy top because the president turned out to be in on it. So how exactly to you get a pardon from the one person who is actually conspiring against you? Well the team has about ten minutes to figure that out.

Supergirl: This season has been one of the biggest drags in television history to watch but The Elite finally seem like a worthy advisory, much more than Agent Liberty. But Supergirl’s response of having her own “Super Friends” was really grown worthy. That is clearly the lamest iteration of Super Friends ever. You can take the four kind of racist Super Friends from the original eighties show and they would still be cooler than Supergirl’s Super Friends.
Supergirl on iTunes.

Shameless: Oh yeah, I completely forgot about Liam too. Now I am wondering how long it has been since he has been on. Has he been on this half of the season? Then after a half a season of really bad news, is Fiona actually getting some good news? Although I am not sure if I would accept an offer by someone who is quick to buy you out. Maybe that is how she gets written off the show, she leaves town to oversee the new property.

Black Monday: Wow, that has to be the most elaborate prank ever conceived. Except the joke may end up on Mo because he may have broken up the engagement of his mark and tipped off said mark to the actor he hired. But since we still have a couple episodes left, it will probably work out in the end.

SMILF: $90 for electricity? Doesn’t Bridget live in a one room apartment? Is this a big city thing and they are paying more for electricity? That is more than I pay for all my utilities in my much bigger square footage. Does Bridget leave her computer/television on at all times? Is she still using incandescent light bulbs? That just seems like a lot.

The Walking Dead: I finally got around to last week’s episode despite not getting On Demand for a week and the AMC website not letting me watch and I was a bit shocked that no one died during the exchange. I was ready for Alpha to kill her daughter just out of spit. Although, now the daughter knows the Hilltop secret exit. Except she (presumably) did not get to tell her mother about it before being rescued by Daryl. And I never understand why people on this show think a room full of zombies is such an insurmountable task. Just create a small opening and kill them one by one as they come out. But I wonder how they still have batteries that work that can power that boombox
You can download The Walking Dead on iTunes.

Good Girls: I complain a lot about promo monkeys spoiling things, but the cast list just spoiled who would live and die, both the gangsta and the husband were in there pretty much spoiling that neither would die. Granted the husband still got shot. Yet the police did not make much of a deal about this. Yeah you can tell the kids it is a robbery gone wrong, but when it happens in the house, I cannot believe the police would buy that especially if you are being investigated for robbing the grocery store.
You can download Good Girls on iTunes

The Passage: C’mon, just let the little weasely army guy die. Or get bitten I guess. Although isn’t Zach Morris’s ex-wife now stuck with the vampires?
You can download The Passage on iTunes.

Survivor: Edge of Extinction: Obviously due went to Edge of Extinction. Stupid cliffhanger. And it will be a little lame if they get a little more stuff every time someone new shows up at the island. But it always amazes me how long people hold on to Immunity. Wentworth knew her name was coming up but did not player her Idol just in case. My philosophy has always been, play it just in case and go look for a new Idol tomorrow.
You can download Survivor: Edge of Extinction on iTunes.

The Challenge: War of World: Wait, didn’t just last season Zach risked a million dollars and went in to elimination just to spite his partner and now he is letting his patner run right over him? And this time he was right, it is
You can download The Challenge: War of Worlds on iTunes.

Deadly Class: mmm, the age old question, to Devil’s Threesome, or not to Devil’s Threesome. I guess when she looks like her; you just have to bite the bullet. Clearly these moron took way too much time to come to that conclusion.
You can download Deadly Class on iTunes.

Gotham: Barbra got big quick. It had passed my mind that she may be faking it but if she is this big, that would be a very long con. And I was really surprise Barbra, or no one else, actually crashed the wedding. I cannot remember the last wedding I saw on television that went off without a hitch.
You can download Gotham on iTunes.

Doom Patrol: Alright, we have a two parter. Well, I assume we this will get resolved next episode. Kind of weird pacing just because I expected the Doom Patrol to dispatch the baddies by the end of the episode, instead the book gets read and we roll the credits. And I wonder if that magic dude was supposed to come off as a low rent Constantine because that was what happened. (Scrolls Wikipedia) Oh yeah, that character was created when the Doom Patrol writers were not allowed to use Constantine… makes perfect sense.

Blindspot: A weird move to have a flashback episode from in between seasons, two seasons ago. I was thinking it was a case I did not remember there for a while.
You can download Blindspot on iTunes.

The Blacklist: Oh wow, Red did not escape. That was a shocker. So what next? The promo looks like the execution is next episode. I know Red waived he right to an appeal, but that seems very quick. If Red could not escape on his own, could Lizzy find a way to get him out? Will he be pardoned by a pardon happy psychopathic president?

Shameless: So after a couple months of destructive behaviors, Fiona finally gets herself to AA. It would be kind of sad if Frank’s pep talk about being an angry drunk (compared to his happy drunk) was what convinced her to make some chances. Though I guess we will have to see if this sticks. It is kind of becoming a long slog to Fiona’s exit, I understand why they do it from a marketing perspective, but from an entertainment perspective it is becoming a long goodbye.

Black Monday: So who exactly were those maids at the end and who exactly were they working for, I kind of missed what was going on there.

The Walking Dead: I did not watch this week because I went to watch On Demand, and yet six days later it is still not there. So I went to AMC.com to watch except when I went to log in threw my cable provider, nothing happen. I would not even let me log in and I tried with three different browsers. Fork you Spectrum. Fork you AMC. Technology should not be this hard. This is why people are cutting the cord.
You can download The Walking Dead on iTunes.

The Enemy Within: Homeland debuted almost a decade ago and NBC has been trying to create a network version almost every year since. And every single one was one and done until The Blacklist which basically the procedural version of Homeland. The Enemy Within just seems like the gender swap version of The Blacklist but with a significantly worse actor as the lead. Although I am just assuming that they are going to bust one of these hundreds of sleeper agents per episode.

The Gifted: Well the show sucked but at least they closed all the season two plot threads. Well that was until they set up a potential season three with the presumed dead (except by me, we just saw her get shot, not die) Blink. And where did she come from? It looked like a post-apocalyptic wasteland to me. Although I would be fine without learning the answer if they finally cancel this shirt show.
You can download The Gifted on iTunes.

Survivor: Edge of Extinction: The Edge of Extinction twist is lame to begin with but still the show found a way to make it worse: end an episode on a cliffhanger of if the guy is going to continue or go home. Is anyone actually going to go home? Especially after only six days? But congrats to Lauren for being one of the rare non-annoying people to find an Idol/Advantage in recent history. A couple seasons ago, one of the contestants made a big deal about how only dudes find them only for a guy to find the Idol after a hunt, and I actually thought they were going to do that again.
You can download Survivor: Edge of Extinction on iTunes.

The Challenge: War of World: Cograts on Nany for having the guts to vote in CT and the luck of him actually going home but I fear that may have been a pretty bad strategic move. She said she did that because there were too many British people who are friends. If there are too many British people, maybe you should try to get one out because once you are only last non-English team left, you are a sitting duck. So instead three Americans and a Brazilian were sent home. Add that to the four Americans who were sent home the first week (not to mention the American and Mexican who were instantly eliminated after the first challenge). So now the teams with at least one British player outnumber the ones without six to five by my count.
You can download The Challenge: War of Worlds on iTunes.

Gotham: Oh wow, they really did the evil puppet. At least that was entertaining while it last. And was the tunnel person supposed to be young Killer Croc? I guess maybe not because it seems like Aldred actually killed him. That would have been a cool origin story.
You can download Gotham on iTunes.

Doom Patrol: Just when you think it was not going to get any better than puppets, out walks a dude with a second dinosaur head and vegetation growing out of his hand. This show is awesome.

57 Channels and Only This Is On: February 24, 2019

Supergirl: This season is just dreadful, but I did get a good laugh at The Dreamer’s outfit. So stupid.
Supergirl on iTunes.

Shameless: Fiona has done some horrible things in this back half of the season, but you cannot blame her for letting an alcoholic have some of her drink when she did not know he had been sober for a hundred days. Same with the social services guy. Really, Lip should have gotten her to rehab or at the very least take her to an AA meeting with him.

Black Monday: Weird that the show pointed out the two shows with short black kids living with rich white people and then in the very next scenes it reminds us that this is the second show in the eighties with a robot butler. Although the other show did not murder the robot butler. But wow, I never realized just how racist Teen Wolf was.

The Walking Dead: I am sure being a horny teenager in the zombie apocalypse must be hard on the libido, but how about not let the bad chick out of her cell? Same they just did not do a full on flashback episode because we did not get to see just how crazy bald momma went from an underground bunker to wearing a dead man’s face. A pretty big jump. And there have been plenty of dumb plans on this show, but waiting until nightfall to look for your buddy in a zombie apocalypse with people posing as zombies out there is high on the stupidity list. Although that bears the question, just when do the Whispers sleep? If you are hiding among the zombies and presumably they do not sleep, at what point do you break away from the heard and catch some shut eye and not get eaten by the heard you are with?
You can download The Walking Dead on iTunes.

The Passage: Finally someone is smart enough to kill all the death row inmate vampires. Oh wait, they care about one girl. Okay, first off, didn’t they kill the vampire that turned the scientist so why is he even still alive? Maybe it is because they killed the old vampire before the scientist turned and that is some grey area. Even if that is it what it is, how about then kill all the other death row vampires and just keep the scientist alive to save the little girl. And why does it take so long to kill a vampire in the sun?
You can download The Passage on iTunes.

Manifest: What a stupid forking way to end the season. They just told us that the returned die the exact time for when they were gone so if the new guy was gone for a year, he clearly is not going to die. I guess there is the question of if the cop got shot. Not that I really care, I am fine with the show not returning.
You can download Manifest on iTunes.

Survivor: Edge of Extinction: Kind of a giant “meh” of a premiere. Did not help that it was only an hour. Usually we get ninety minutes or back to back episodes. Which gives us better idea of who these people are. We only continued the streak of annoying people is the ones that find advantages. And the Advantage Menu is a stupid name. Really, unless you are confident you are getting the boot, you gotta go with the steal reward. As predictions go, I will say Lauren will win. And I am not just saying that because she kind of looks like the hot chick from the Baywatch movie.
You can download Survivor: Edge of Extinction on iTunes.

The Challenge: War of World: Yeah, it was pretty obvious from the promo that Bananas would be the “legend” that goes home early and then Bananas gets the boot from the first round of the challenge pretty much made it a lock. So when Bananas calls out Zach it took out all the suspense because c’mon, calling Zach a legend would be a bit of a stretch. Watching Bananas leave this early should have been great but the Promo Monkeys just took all the fun out of it. And are they going to do the same next week? It seems like either Paulie or Kyle will be going home. But since next week is a double elimination, at least the other boot will be a surpise… unless they both end up going home.
You can download The Challenge: War of Worlds on iTunes.

Gotham: Sure Jim, you may have saved Gotham from that gas, but you just polluted the river worse than The Cuyahoga in the seventies when that caught on fire. So yeah, probably smart for the government to keep the city quadrated off for a little longer.
You can download Gotham on iTunes.

Doom Patrol: I was a bit down on the premiere because there were a bit too many origin stories to get through and way too much naked Encino Man. But this episode was much more enjoyable. And I do hope we get an episode inside Jane’s Underground.

The Blacklist: I hate arguing with the simple minded like those who think that spending billions of dollars putting up a wall would even slow the drug flow into the country. I have to tell these people that I have seen a lot of movies and shows on the subject and have seen drug smugglers dig tunnels under existing barriers, walk around the wall in low tide, pay hot chicks to put it in the car and go through customs (most recently they payed Clint Eastwood to do this), I have seen them bring in drugs through the post, I have seen them swallow condoms full of heroin, get on a plane, then crap out the condom and clean it up, but one thing I have never seen is anyone trek drugs across the desert so a wall there would be a complete waste of billions of dollars. Now surgically implant them in woman to make them seem pregnant is a new one. And I have to wonder just how would that work? Like do you have to find a former pregnant chick because it seems like it would be hard to grow that skin into a pouch.

57 Channels and Only This Is On: 12/23/2018

Ray Donovan: Wait, Bridget is old enough to drink? Wasn’t she banging her teacher two seasons ago? I was shocked she did not get carded. Maybe there was a time jump I am not remembering. But I see now why Bunchy was running after that car last week, I did not see who got in that car, I was thinking since they were at a church it was a priest. And you knew it would happen, too many punches are making Terry shake again. Back to Ray, I have no clue where this season is going now. I figured he would find a way to get the mayoral candidate he was forking elected but now I wonder if he would really help Susan Sarandon. Is there a way to do both? That if he gets out of the crazy house. And should I know who the bald person was at the end? Connor? A metaphor? Just a random patient singing?

Survivor: David vs. Goliath: As great as this season has been, probably the best in at least a decade, it is kind of disappointing and kind of clichĂ©d that in a season that pitted David’s vs. Goliath’s, that a David was able to beat five Goliath’s in the end. But really all I want is Angelina in the next couple all-star season. Only she could make a clue that was so simple look so complicated.

Speaking of all-stars, we are getting four returning players next season. Meh. As great as this season was, whenever the show mixes returning players with new ones rank as the worst. Especially the ones where it is just one returning player per tribe.
You can download Survivor: David vs. Goliath on iTunes.

Vikings: I was wondering why they ended the last episode on a cliffhanger when it seems very much like Igar was threatening his brother. But the big reveal turn out to be a fake Lagatha. Kind of lame. I am a bit surprise that Ivar did not punish his brother for the insubordination at the feast. And that was a large family to expel from his settlement. That is probably a mistake for everyone. But a melancholy happy trails to the seer. I kind of missed why exactly Ivar killed him.
You can download Vikings on iTunes.

Timeless: So we get a movie to wrap everything up except it kind of felt like just two episodes strapped together. But it was kind of weird that Lucy never bothered to get her sister back. It is one thing to save someone from dying like Wyatt did with his wife, but the wife was fated to die, the sister should exist. And I wonder if that Asian chick from the end who had designed for a time machine was the granddaughter of the North Korean the team saved?
You can download You can download Timeless on iTunes.

Titans: There is nothing I hate more than dream sequences and what a complete waste of a finale to spend basically the whole time in Robin’s darkest timeline. And this felt like a penultimate episode and next week the Titans find a way to save Robin and defeat Trigon. Was that the original idea because his season was supposed to twelve episodes? Did the show just simply run out of money? But hey, we did get an end credit scene and… um, does anyone care about Super Boy? I was actually more excited to see Krypto.

Supergirl: These crossover events are just getting lamer. And that potential Bat Woman spinoff looks like it would be abysmal unless they for some reason find a way for Saturn Girl to be part of the show. Or, how about just giving Saturn Girl her own show?
Supergirl on iTunes.

Ray Donovan: So Bunchy is going to turn himself in, yet Micky is able to push a cop down and that geriatric that just had a heart attack can outrun him. Alrighty. But I feel bad for Bridget, she moves across the country only to have her father follow her and get her in danger almost instantly. Maybe she can move back to California, or just find her brother and go there because clearly no one cares about him. But I found it weird that Ray was turned on the mayoral candidate so quickly considering he just forked her last week (literally) and then (figuratively) forked her this week. What exactly is Ray’s play? Is he really going to let her lose? Or is he going to end up framing her opponent for killing the gaured that Bunchy wacked? That would be a very Ray Donovan thing to do.

Survivor: David vs. Goliath: If I were to rank my ten favorite Survivor moments, I am sure a couple of the slots would go to fake Idols being played (“It’s a forking stick”) but I have to say, Nick “finding“ the fake Idol he planted to stop other people from looking was brilliant. Well almost, Davie still looked for, and found a clue. And Davie wisely did not give up his vote for a chance to play it later. He ended up getting a few votes. But poor Nick, not only did that fake Idol did not work in keeping people from looking, him playing his fake Idol did not give him the correct response to not play the Idol he did not need to play.
You can download Survivor: David vs. Goliath on iTunes.

Vikings: Yep, the real baby daddy of the princess had to die. I kind of figured that would be the end to avoid him saying anything. Oh yeah, Ragnor’s other son is back. How long has it been? A couple seasons but decades on the show? And who exactly is the sacrifice? They certainly made it seem to me that Ivar was talking about his brother when he brought it up to him. So why end on a cliffhanger, does that mean it is someone else?
You can download Vikings on iTunes.

Titans: So Beast Boys sees some chick wield a golden lasso and his first thought was this much be Wonder Girl? Um, does Wonder Woman not use one in this universe? Then I mostly laughed when White Sean from Rescue Me walked out of that mirror. Not exactly who I picture when I think of Trigon, a larger than life villain with red skin, antlers, and more than two eyes. But I guess the biggest thing that happened this week was the promo for the season finale (wait, there are only eleven episode, kind of a weird number) with Robin taking on Batman. Though it seems pretty obvious all those scenes are from some warped reality, pretty much what exactly The CW crossover did this week.

Nightflyers: I actually enjoyed this week’s episodes more than the first batch because it seemed like they were actually going somewhere. There was that cool scene with the captain surviving the decontamination because apparently he is not an organic material. Although kind of gross when it was sort of revealed he has been forking what you could call his sister. Seriously, what is with all the incest in George R.R. Martin’s work? But what a clusterfork of an ending.

Supergirl: Wow, that has to be the lamest superpower ever. But hopefully this is the last we see of Agent Liberty now that he is in jail because that storyline sucked. But I have a sinking suspicion the mysterious figure he was talking to on the phone this week was the new president so he may get out sooner than later.
Supergirl on iTunes.

Ray Donovan: Wow Teresa sure was able to get to New York pretty quick. I know Terry said he would need Bridget to look after the kid for a couple days, but it did not seem that long.

Survivor: David vs. Goliath: Every season, as it starts to wind down, someone I barely remember pops up with a plan that makes me go, really, you have been hiding in the shadows this whole time and that is your big plan to win over the jury. Davie is that person this season. The rest of the tribe wisely realizes that Christian would win in a route and blindside him because he has an Idol. But Davie in all his infinite wisdom tells Christian this… and then still votes for him. What? I kind of hope he makes the final just so I can hear his explanation as to why he thinks he played the best game.
You can download Survivor: David vs. Goliath on iTunes.

Vikings: Ooo, Ivar’s new bride is a spicy minx. He may not be able to produce an heir, but that is not going to stop her from giving him one. But what will the baby daddy say about the heir to the throne? Speaking of heirs, interesting Alfred is trying to convert the pagans to Christianity much like Ragnar once practiced (though I do not remember him renouncing his God, just doing a hybrid). And so much for the bishop going back to his vow of celibacy. That did not last long. Speaking of forbidden love, it looks like Bjorn has the same penchant for banging princesses as his father.
You can download Vikings on iTunes.

The Good Place: I never thought we would get to the actual Good Place this season, maybe the season finale at the earliest. And how disappointing that I have spent the last three years trying to maximizing my Good Place points only to learn no one has gotten in there in centuries. No more snail funerals for me.
The Good Place on iTunes.

Blindspot: So Zapata is caught and Jane as gone full loony. I thin last week may have made for a better mid-season finale.
You can download Blindspot on iTunes.

Titans: I recently signed up for DC Universe and finally caught up on the show and, well, you would think of how much the DC movies have gotten panned for being too dark and gritty, they would not make a show that was too dark and gritty. But alas, here we are. Though the most recent was the best so far. Having Lyla Garrity helps, she has been in a coma way too long. But really, it is not a good sign when the two best episodes spent not much time on the Titans because the Doom Patrol episode was the second best.

Nightflyers: Well, this George R.R. Martin adaptation is certainly no Game of Thrones. And really it run into the same problem every spaceship television show run into: the ship is too small making the show too claustrophobic for ten hours o so. You really need to spend some time outside.

Supergirl: I knew Manchester Black was a bad guy from the comics, but pretty cold to sell out Supergirl like that. And it did not even work, Captain Liberty was somewhere else. Although I kind of hope Manchester does exact some revenge because am ready for the Make Earth Great Again storyline to be over. Whatever happened to Soviet Supergirl?
Supergirl on iTunes.

Ray Donovan: You would think after getting blackmailed with a sex tape the mayoral candidate would not be so quick to fork another dude she just met even if he helped her out. And just what exactly is Bunchy up to? But is this the end of Conner? He finally gets out to New York with the rest of the family only to ship out by the end of the episode. Granted he is the least interesting Donovan so itt would be fine if he stays in Afghanistan or wherever he is going.

The Walking Dead: Way to spoil who survives that graveyard Promo Monkey. Geez. But is it really that hard to scale five foot wall? With Eugene pulling and two dudes pushing him over should not have been as hard as they made it out to be. And did Maggie really die in the time jump? She has only been vaguely mentioned and her kid has been whole absent. Maybe they just sent her away assuming her ABC show gets quickly canceled and she will be back next season.
You can download The Walking Dead on iTunes.

Manifest: Wait, they killed off the Homeland Security guy? Or at least hot lady cop was told he did not make it. Of course my number one rule of television is, if you do not see someone die, they probably are not dead. Me thinks he was taken by the shady government agency.

Survivor: David vs. Goliath: Wait, Probst offered up extra rice for exchange of someone sitting out an immunity challenge? Lame. Dude’s taken everything before. Should have at least made multiple people sit out. But Angelina is just that keeps on giving this season. She could have been booted that week after the jacket incident and still would have been an all-timer, but lack of self-awareness is just pure entertainment. She finally thinks she is in with the David’s and the look on her face when she realized that Carl was getting more votes than expected was just priceless. She is almost the second coming of Eliza.

Blindspot: So Kurt finally realized Jane was not who she was pretending to be and… they ended up having to still work together because they got caught up in a home invasion. But now that she has escaped, it should make things a little more interesting as the FBI will now be chasing two rouge agents. So how long until Jane hooks up with Zapata? Although doesn’t Jane need the FBI and their information? Patterson did find another file this week.

- Supergirl: I spend the summer catching up on Game of Thrones and after all that time looking at Drogan and his brothers, I audibly laughed at how cheesy the dragon looked on this show.
Supergirl on iTunes.

Ray Donovan: Yeah, Bridget’s fiancĂ© is adding nothing to this show. Those I did get a laugh out of Bridget talking about how her last relationships went. Too bad beau number three may actually not be much better. But when will Micky realize that Ray is smarter than him? So where do Micky and Bunchy go from here? They still have their ID’s so they can still get to Canada but they do not have the money to get to Vietnam or any other country without an extradition treaty. Shouldn’t Daryll still be worried about retaliation though if Micky does not have the money to go anywhere? I cannot imagine Ray turning Micky in if Bunchy is still with him. Although even if his baby mama has not called the cops, Bunchy still killed a guard?

Manifest: Wait, why is the brother at the same school as his sister? Shouldn’t she be in high school and him still in elementary school? Did he get socially promoted because he should be in high school?
You can download Manifest on iTunes.

The Challenge: Final Reckoning: Last week I predicted that Joss and Sylvia would win and I should have gotten that right except those morons stupidly stepped down for some deal that the other team had no obligation to keep. Just lost five minute there. Had they just lasted to second place in that challenge, they likely win. Well, unless Cara Maria and Maria would have agreed that Joss and Sylvia gotten their grenade too. Speaking of stupid moves, how does Hunter let Smashley win? Clearly he could have out run her but chose to stay with her. And even I was against taking the money, Smashley’s excuse of Hunter threatening her family was a worthy reason to screw her over. You just do not treat people that way. It will be interesting how Hunter reacts to the tape of him saying what he swears he did not say. The tape does not lie.

Survivor: David vs. Goliath: I had a pretty big eye roll when Carl found the Idol Nulifier. I thought there was no way that thing would be used correctly and really, I doubted it would be used at all. But oh I was wrong and in a big way. When the Davids were talking about all their advantages, I thought it was too good to be true that they would actually play all their advantages and actually do it correctly. The stealing of Alison’s vote did kind of raise my eyebrow but maybe that was the decoy to get the Idol out and through the scent off of who they were actually targeting. But the David’s pulled it off without a hitch. Kudos to Christian who managed to get a Goliath out and hold on to his Idol even though before the vote I thought he should had played it just in case. You found that one, go out tomorrow and find another.

So what now? We are actually back even, five each. Do the three Goliaths who were keen on flipping last episode still try working with the David even though they pulled two over on them two Tribals in a row? Does Angelina go rouge after getting voted for by Goliaths? Would it be wise for any Goliath to flip because it would be pretty obvious now they would be on the bottom? Can the Goliaths pull together and get the upper hand back with all the Advantages sans Christian’s Idol out of the game? It should make for an interesting final stretch since Dan was the least likable of the bunch this season. Hopefully it keeps ping ponging back and forth because one tribe dominating post-merge is always boring.

Supergirl: Wait, The Real Eleanor did not die in the season premiere? I thought she got stabbed in the back of the head. Oh well, I guess she is dead now since her fiancĂ© just bought a shirtload of guns. And why is Manchester Black, um, actually black now? Isn’t making a football hooligan black kind of racist? At least Russian Supergirl is back. That storyline seems much more interesting than the anti-alien one is. Granted Commie Supergirl will likely do something evil and everyone will think it is American Supergirl which will only enflame the racists old white dudes on the show.
Supergirl on iTunes.

Ray Donovan: Oh Bunchy, you have never been the smartest of the Donovan children (which says a lot) but murdering a prison guard to break out your father who is on death’s doorstep (though being a television show, Micky will undoubtedly make a full recovery) is the dumbest thing you have ever done. It is hard to imagine even Ray can fix that situation for you, but being a television show, he probably will. I guess that will involve a cross country trip to New York.

The Walking Dead: Wow, Rick got out of being gored by a metal rod pretty quickly. I guess the only way they could end an episode that the show heavily promoted as Rick’s last episode would be to not actually kill him off. Instead he was taken by the mysterious helicopter people whom will may never learn about on the show because the flash forward almost ten years. But it seems we may actually learn what was going on there with a big budget Rick movie. So will he die in that because I cannot image Rick would not do everything to get back to his daughter.
You can download The Walking Dead on iTunes.

The Last Ship: I joked last week they were killing off all the minority cast members in the final season, but c’mon, another one gone this week. But the Columbian dude killing all his generals because of Tarot card was wild even if they were planning a coup.
You can download The Last Ship on iTunes.

You: I have spent most of the season thinking the season would end with Joe killing Beck with the outside chance of her joining him and his murdering way. Now that she knows, it kind of has to end that way. Or maybe she gets shipped off to Rome with Candice. Is that really happen to Candice? On the cusp of being signed only to move to Europe and completely cut herself off from everyone, including not learning her brother died? Sounds fishy.
You can download You on iTunes.

Kidding: I knew the show was always dark, but I would not have ever guessed that is was slit Tara Lipinski’s throat dark.

Manifest: The little kid can speak Bulgarian now? I did not think the show could get much dumber. And why him? Is there were like eight people being experimenting on, why did no one else feel it? This show is so stupid.
You can download Manifest on iTunes.

The Challenge: Final Reckoning: Yeah, doing the math before you actually start plugging in the pegs seems pretty obvious. Should have been obvious for the stronger males, but they clearly got outsmarted. Unfortunately the other battle was just pure strength with the two bigger dudes winning in a blowout. But it will be interesting if the other teams can get Bananas out before the final, which looks may start next week.
You can download The Challenge: Final Reckoning on iTunes.

Survivor: David vs. Goliath: Kind of a bad strategy from Elizabeth to wait until Tribal to stir up things. I almost thought it worked though when people started to get up and talk which has not been a good sign in the past. Though now I wonder what there were talking about because no one seemed to change their vote.
You can download Survivor: David vs. Goliath on iTunes.

Superstore: Weird to see Sue Heck play someone who is not Sue Heck. Good thing there is a spin off in the works for her. But since her replacement urinated in the middle of the store, she may be hired back next week.

The Good Place: The Real Eleanor is back! I was wondering why she was in a blink and you miss it first flashback and then did not appear in any more (the actree did say she was in the animal fair but she was cut). But then she shocking popped up in the present after the demons figured out how to get to Earth without going through the Judge’s door. This should be interesting. Hopefully she last longer than Trevor.

Supergirl: Ugg, they are really laying on the evil old white guy who hates alien immigrants really thick this season. It is becoming a harder and harder watch. They really need to bring back Saturn Girl to make it watchable.
Supergirl on iTunes.

The Walking Dead: So this is how Rick dies, impaled on a rail with two hordes converging on him? Kind of anti-poetic. Sacrificing himself for Daryl to get out of that pit would have been a better way to go. Granted he is not dead yet so maybe he makes it out of that situation only to go out in a more poetic fashion.
You can download The Walking Dead on iTunes.

The Last Ship: We have said goodbye to a few sailors early this season and I thought we were going to actually get through the siege without any casualties, at least to the people we know. But just like a horror movie, there is always one last death. Although, haven’t all the long standing characters that have died this season, all been minorities? Maybe they are setting up the big sacrifice of Tom Chandler. A captain does always go down with his ship.
You can download The Last Ship on iTunes.

You: So Joe and Beck broke up for three months. Yawn. Can we fast forward to the end of the season where Joe kills Beck, it is going to happen eventual. If not now, maybe the series finale. Or Beck becomes a killer. Oh crap, are they going to kill John Stamos together?
You can download You on iTunes.

The Challenge: Final Reckoning: Stacking cards up high? Someone has been watching Survivor. Here is hoping Bananas does not pull the Double Cross.
You can download The Challenge: Final Reckoning on iTunes.

Survivor: David vs. Goliath: I thought for sure that Mike White was going to turn on a Goliath once again (actually I got very I am going to sacrifice myself vibe from Mike White right after the challenge) even though Lyrsa was the smarter vote. You cannot assume you are going to merge and with Lyrsa, you are not winning any more Immunity Idols. Of course right after voting out Lyrsa, there was a promo that there is a merge next week. Oops, maybe they should have voted out the more strategic threat than the way to beat Lyrsa.
You can download Survivor: David vs. Goliath on iTunes.

The Good Place: Wait, so Eleanor’s mom and Tahani’s sister do not even need any help getting into the Good Place? Kind of a filler episode if nothing that did helped their family member. At least Pill Boi was (presumably) put on the right track.
