Snowpiercer:The show ends like it began, with the tailies
fighting to take control of Snowpiercer.Apropos I guess.
Only Murders in the
Building:More Ben Glenroy
double? If he keeps showing up, I may have
to put him on my murder board.Of
course, that is if he survived the episode. It would be funny if they killed off Paul Rudd twice.I certainly do not think the Brothers sisters
did it.And it is not just because it is
way too early to for them to find the murderer. We still need a why and a why now. Then there is also the how: how did they get access to both apartments.Of course if it is not them, what about the
shoes? Are we just going to learn that
it is a common sole?
Tell Me Lies:I was skeptical
that Lydia’s brother possibly raping Pippa caused their riff in the future, but
now I think that just might be it.And since
he did the same thing to Diana’s sorority sister, it seems even more likely that
is what he did to Pippa. But it surprising that we are over halfway
through the season and we are just at October.I wonder if they are going to just do one semester this season. But it was a bit disappointing with an episode
entitled, Evil, Ornery, Scandalous, and Evil” and not overt Sublime reference inside
of it.
Survivor:Nothing like an episode entitled, “Epic Boss
Girl Move” to spoil that someone in the bro alliances was going home.
The Challenge: Battle
of the Eras:Sigh, another week, another
Era 1 player going home. This is getting
boring.
Agatha All Along:
The first episode was very entertaining,
but many they should have stuck with a new prestige parody every week because I
am not looking forward to a new Witches’ Road trial for the next month. This week’s episode really drug along.
The Ark: Oh way,
they really made it to an inhabitable planet.Though, I have a feeling something might happen in the finale that will
keep them on the ark even longer. They are
trying to blackmail people into blackmailing other people on the ark.Maybe that is not the place to stay very
long.
I have gotten a plethora of cool press releases flooding my inbox recently that you may find interesting. This post includes blurbs
- Hulu has the trailer for the highly anticipated the original UK series "Rivals."
- Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band offers the most in-depth look ever at the creation of the band’s legendary live performances, including footage of rehearsals, backstage moments, rare archival clips and personal reflections from Springsteen himself. Road Diary premieres on Hulu and Disney+ on October 25.
- Check out the trailer for "Fanatical: The Catfishing of Tegan and Sara," premiering on Hulu on October 18th. TRAILER: HERE. Tegan and Sara ascended to global fame as one of the most influential queer indie rock bands of their generation. They worked hard to cultivate an inclusive and passionate fanbase around the world. Listeners were drawn to the duo's beautifully confessional lyrics, but there was more than just the music. Fans found within the community the only safe space to come out and be queer during a time when few bands would declare allyship, let alone celebrate their own queer identity. But a bad actor took advantage of the community's trust and comfort. Tegan and Sara's world turned upside down when Tegan's personal files were hacked in 2011, revealing the dark side of fame and fandom. This is a sprawling yet intimate story of how Tegan's identity was stolen and weaponized in a complex catfish scheme to ensnare members of this community. The film is an examination of the severe ripple effect of mistrust, anxiety, and self-doubt that resulted from Fegan's (Fake Tegan) actions.

Meanwhile, her vocals take flight on the chorus, “I know it’s lonely in the grey. Don’t need to explain or hide all your pain. There’s nothing wrong with living in the grey.” On the track, Bailey shares: “‘The Grey’ is about that feeling of not fitting into certain boxes or connecting with labels placed upon you by pressures of society: the message being to embrace yourself in that in-between place. It’s the perfect introduction to what I hope most of my music and message will be. It’s very honest and straight-up.” WATCH THE VISUALIZER HERE

Kicking off with lead single “San Quentin (Live from Nashville),” Nickelback: Live From Nashville will feature electrifying live recordings from the band’s legendary, sold-out show at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on their 2023 Get Rollin’ Tour, which was hailed as a “fiery, raucous, unapologetic and rock-driven” set by The Tennessean. - Returning to the U.K. from their “Tour Of Earth,” where the record breaking British band performed to sold-out arenas and amphitheaters across North America, today Glass Animals share the otherworldly official video for “Show Pony”—watch HERE. Lifted from their critically acclaimed, fourth studio album I Love You So F***ing Much—their most introspective record to date—the video is a sci-fi tale of love, friendship, and heartbreak, which thematically sits at the heart of I Love You So F***ing Much. Directed by Eoin Glaister, “Show Pony” is a western-inspired tale of an unlikely friendship: where alien meets cow. On the video, Glaister says,“Dave had a personal story he wanted to play out through aliens. I ran with this and added a cow. Naive really, given how hard they are to direct. We shot this in Mexico, which was an incredible experience. Locations were stunning, crew were exceptional, cast ideal, and the constant quesadillas spot on.”

POTATO COUNTRY
Our popular Couch Potato Country ad campaign continues to introduce new fans to all the benefits of Pluto TV. The star of our newest ad spot is Gary Senise with a focus on our true crime offering. We sat down with the talented actor to find out what being a couch potato means to him.
Pluto TV: You were representing Pluto TV's crime channels. With so many years solving cases on CSI: NY and Criminal Minds Beyond Borders, why do you think so many people love and find comfort in watching crime shows?
Gary Sinise: When I was considering doing CSY:NY (the third show in the franchise) I asked our producer Jerry Bruckheimer about this and he made a good point. There are always so many mystery thrillers on the Best Seller Lists. I think people are drawn to the thrill of the mystery, the process of solving a puzzle, and the sense of justice that often comes at the end. There's something comforting about seeing the good guys prevail, especially in a world that can sometimes feel unpredictable. Having spent years on CSI: NY and Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, I've seen firsthand how compelling crime dramas can be.
Pluto TV: What genres or types of shows do you like to comfort watch? Gary Sinise: When it comes to comfort watching, I love diving into documentaries—they’re a great way to unwind while learning something new. I’m also a big fan of food competition shows and re-watching award-winning classic films. There’s a reason those movies are timeless—they never fail to draw you in and make you feel something, no matter how many times you’ve seen them.
Pluto TV: What does being a couch potato mean to you? Gary Sinise: Ha! Well…I suppose being a couch potato means embracing those moments of pure relaxation and enjoying some well-deserved downtime. It’s a chance to kick back, recharge, unwind, and indulge in my favorite shows or movies, and Pluto TV offers so many choices to keep things exciting

PEAK CONTENT
Joseph Quinn and Lupita Nyong'o in A Quiet Place: Day One
This summer, audiences were anything but quiet about their excitement for A Quiet Place: Day One, the series’ long anticipated prequel and origin story. The film was a box-office smash with the biggest opening weekend in the franchise’s history. This wave of enthusiasm continued on Paramount+: the horror flick is the #1 most-watched post-theatrical release on the service.
Paramount+’s creepy collection of horror films is popular with our audience all year long. The top terror-inducing titles include: World War Z, Scream VI, Smile and more.
Inspired by an actual U.S. military program, Lioness follows the life of Joe (Zoe Saldaña) while she attempts to balance her personal and professional life as the tip of the CIA's spear in the war on terror. In season two, as the CIA’s fight moves closer to home, Joe and the team enlist a new operative to infiltrate a previously unknown threat. With pressure mounting from all sides, Joe is forced to confront the profound personal sacrifices she has made as the leader of the Lioness program.
“What Joe sacrificed in season one was her own personal life,” said Saldaña. “What she's sacrificing this season is just the way that she conducts herself and the way that she does her work.”
Overseeing the Lioness team is the steely Kaitlyn Meade (Nicole Kidman). The two women are often at odds as Kaitlyn pushes Joe to focus on the mission. “Kaitlyn still trains Joe and has to always remind Joe to open up your mind and be a thinker and not a feeler,” Saldaña reflected. “The moment you begin to feel more than what you can think, that can cost someone their lives, including her own. What she's up against this season is impossible. The stakes are way too high.”
Get ready to roar when Lioness season two premieres October 27.
Viewers beware, we’ve rounded up your favorite ghosts and goblins on Paramount+! The heart-pounding Peak Screaming collection is back with a monster-sized lineup of thrills to haunt your screens this Halloween season. The popular collection has expanded with more genre-defining hits and perennial favorites than ever before, featuring over 450 new originals, fan-favorite horror movies and unforgettable Halloween episodes from beloved series.
This year’s fresh batch of frights include the edge-of-your-seat thrill ride A Quiet Place: Day One from Paramount Pictures, the new Paramount+ original Apartment 7A, a mysterious prequel to the cult classic Rosemary’s Baby, and a special Halloween episode of CBS’ Ghosts. Boys and ghouls of all ages won’t have to look hard for a scare with 25 expertly curated carousels, including Killer Classics, Horror Comedies, Horror Heroines, Family Fright Night and more.
The citizens of Bikini Bottom are up to some spooky shenanigans this October in the new SpongeBob SquarePants Halloween Special: Kreepaway Kamp. While at a reunion at Kamp Koral, our intrepid campers start disappearing one by one until they uncover a mysterious figure lurking in the shadows. The special takes inspiration from classic horror films with kid-friendly tropes that adult fans will recognize as spoofs of iconic, nail-biting moments from their favorite movies.
Star Trek: Lower Decks has boldly gone where no Trek series has gone before. The franchise’s first foray into adult animation begins its final voyage this October with the premiere of season five. To get a full mission briefing, we checked in with its creator, writer and producer Mike McMahan.
The last four seasons have been quite a ride. Catch us up on where the crew of the U.S.S. Cerritos is as we return for season five.
When season five starts, our Lower Decks crew has been broken up because Tendi, their Orion pal, was obligated to return to her home planet to work with her sister on pirate stuff. While she's been doing that, our newly promoted Lt. Jr. Grades have been on space pothole-filling duty: strange and annoying quantum rifts have been opening around the quadrant and our gang is tasked with closing them up.
Why do you think Star Trek fans embraced an animated version in such a big way?
I think fans love Lower Decks because it's just nice to spend time with Starfleet officers having a good time. The Cerritos crew is everything you like about the federation plus they're funny! The show is a way to get that Star Trek hit without too much drama, which is (hopefully) a welcome addition to the franchise.
All of the characters in the series are amazing, but who was the most fun to write?
That's hard, I love writing Mariner and Boimler across from each other because they're both great but go about their jobs with totally different attitudes. T'lyn is fun too, because Vulcans say so little, you get to completely change the flow of the scene when she pipes up. Ransom might be the big winner though, because he's somehow a bossy dork but also really funny and secretly supportive and sweet. Don’t make me pick! I like everyone.
Looking back on the series as a whole, what are you most proud of?
I'm most proud that we can do very silly episodes that stand on their own, but then also meaningful episodes which have character growth and high drama and action. This is a show, and a franchise, where you can kind of tell any story you want. I'm beyond proud that when someone is listing off their favorite Star Trek series or episodes, Lower Decks very often makes the cut near the top. That's more than I could have hoped for, and very cool to see. If Lower Decks is in your top three Star Trek shows, then you're cool and people will like you.
Engage warp speed for the final season of Star Trek: Lower Decks on October 24.
The UEFA Champions League season is back in full swing with a new format and more matches than ever. Every single match streams live on Paramount+, including rematches of four of the past five UCL Finals during the League Phase. Next month, Pulp Fiction turns 30. One of the biggest phenomenons to come out of Hollywood in the nineties, Pulp Fiction changed cinema forever with a wildly unconventional story that took audiences inside L.A.’s seedy underbelly. Director Quentin Tarantino threw caution to the wind, creating a blazingly original masterpiece brought to life by John Travolta, Uma Thurman and Samuel L. Jackson while establishing himself as one of history’s most inventive filmmakers. Fans can relive the magic on Paramount+.
October brings fall television into full swing with a fleet of premieres on CBS that Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers can stream live as they air. Another title joining the Paramount+ library in October is Killing Eve, a British spy thriller created by Phoebe Waller-Bridge and starring Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer. Viewers can stream all four seasons of the show starting October 28.
