SHOWTIME Documentary Films today announced SHERYL, an intimate story of song and sacrifice about musical icon Sheryl Crow, will have its SHOWTIME premiere on Friday, May 6 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Director Amy Scott navigates Crow’s seminal yet hard-fought musical career battling sexism, depression, perfectionism, cancer, and the price of fame – before harnessing the power of her gift.  To watch and share the trailer, visit: https://youtu.be/FCSkonIngWM.  SHERYL is told through present-day interviews with Crow, behind-the-scenes verité on the road and in her studio, never before seen archival footage spanning 20 years of touring, and interviews with close allies Keith Richards, Laura Dern, Joe Walsh, Emmylou Harris, Brandi Carlile, and others. Crow’s early gift of music and dedication to songwriting set her on an unapologetic path to perfection – which ultimately became both a blessing and a curse to overcome.

Check out Hulu’s teaser trailer for the upcoming second season of "The Hardy Boys," which premieres with all 10 episodes on Wednesday, April 6, 2022.  The second season picks up six months after the events of Season 1, building on the mystery and drama of the inaugural season and welcoming new friends and suspects. In Season 2, when a Bridgeport classmate mysteriously disappears, Frank (Rohan Campbell) and Joe Hardy (Alexander Elliot) drop their new normal routine to get back to detective work. But when they discover the mystical relic they destroyed last year is still in play, it becomes clear their simple missing person case is actually part of something far more sinister. The Hardy boys and their friends must quickly learn who they can and can’t trust as they race against time to unravel the truth, and ultimately realize that no one is safe from their past.

Florence + the Machine debut a new song, “Heaven is Here,” today alongside a video by acclaimed director Autumn de Wilde and choreographed by Ryan Heffington. Listen/watch here.  “‘Heaven is Here’ was the first song I wrote in lockdown after an extended period of not being able to get to the studio,” says Florence Welch. “I wanted to make something monstrous. And this clamour of joy, fury and grief was the first thing that came out. With dance studios also shut it was my dream to one day create choreography with it. So it’s one of the first pieces of music I have made specifically with contemporary dance in mind.”

Oh Wonder is back today with news of a new album, 22 Make, and brand new single “Magnificent”—listen HERE.  22 Make is the surprise second half of the alt-pop-duo’s 22 Break project, a brand new album they dropped with little warning towards the end of 2021. The band’s most powerful and intimate music thus far, it unpicked a turbulent period in the incredible story of Oh Wonder: here were universal themes (loneliness, inadequacy, resentment, fears for the future) as experienced by one couple in real-time, all blown up in the pandemic. Not many bands can make a break-up album that culminates in them tying the knot—but then again, Oh Wonder have never been like other bands. Coming out of 22 Break and all the soul-searching that it forced them to do, Josephine and Anthony got married and channelled all this into 22 Make: a whole new album set for release on July 22nd, soundtracking the light at the end of a tunnel and completing the dual project (with 11 songs on each half).

“No Prizes” feat. Lianne La Havas is the second single to be revealed from British spoken word artist, rapper, poet, novelist, and playwright Kae Tempest’s new album The Line Is A Curve, set for release on April 8th via American Recordings/Republic Records. It is the fourth album from the Lewisham-based artist and has been produced by long term collaborator Dan Carey alongside executive production by Rick Rubin and features additional collaborations with Kevin Abstract, Grian Chatten of Fontaines DC, ássia, and Confucius MC. The record also follows the critically acclaimed play Paradise, which premiered at the National Theatre in London in 2021.  LISTEN HERE & WATCH HERE.

Following the release of her critically acclaimed EP Lychee on Friday, BENEE reveals the video for her new single “Never Ending”—watch HERE. Directed by Devan Narsai and Riley Coughlin, the glitchy video shows a different side of the New Zealand alternative pop star, further showcasing BENEE’s evolution as an artist and her knack for pushing genre boundaries.  Of the video, BENEE says: “From the start, I knew I wanted the ‘Never Ending’ video to be driven by lots of fast cuts and lots of post-production to make it a really cool visual trip! The video was made with two friends of mine Devan & Riley – Devan has a really good eye for shots & Riley is super skilled at creative direction. I also knew Riley would kill the whole post prod side of the project! This has been my favourite video to date as I just love how well it suits the song. It was a last minute decision to put my dog Tūī in it, but I knew she’d make my performance walking down the street feel more natural (.:”

Breakout songstress Lyn Lapid releases her latest single “The Outsider” today from her soon-to-be-announced debut EP—listen HERE. The song features Lyn’s angelic vocals over a bouncy indie pop beat as she sings, “Now I’m someone you used to know, The outsider of an inside joke.”  Lyn says, “I wrote ‘The Outsider’ about that stage in your life when you start to grow apart from people who were part of your every day. For a lot of people, it can be about becoming distant in relationships that you thought would last forever. For me, those relationships in my life were with my old high school friends. Since we all kind of went in different directions after high school, it was sort of inevitable to become distant with them. Watching them grow apart from you and seeing them make new memories with other people is a truly bittersweet feeling. They were probably off making inside jokes with new people, and that felt very isolating, which is why I called it ‘The Outsider.’”

Emerging as one of the year’s breakthrough acts, Los Angeles singer and songwriter Em Beihold (pronounced bye-hold) unveils the music video for her buzzing single “Numb Little Bug” today via Moon Projects/Republic Records. Watch the music video for “Numb Little Bug” — HERE. Listen to “Numb Little Bug”— HERE.  The visual seamlessly translates the song’s story and energy to the screen, evoking her sharp sense of humor and even sharper songwriting sensibility in the process. It serves as the perfect companion to this rising hit!

With their highly anticipated debut album due out later next month, Honeyglaze share their new single "Female Lead" today and announce new shows, including Wet Leg dates followed by their own headline tour in May, and numerous festivals this summer.  Their Dan Carey-produced, self-titled debut album will be released on April 29 via Speedy Wunderground. Preorder here.  The South London based, haiku-loving trio formed just before the first lockdown, and a combination of compelling live performances and early singles "Shadows", "Creative Jealousyand "Burglar" has seen their profile rise rapidly and garner support from a plethora of early fans including Steve Lamacq, Matt Wilkinson and Wet Leg – who have all declared themselves in love with their intoxicating brand of poetic lyrics and impressive musicianship.  Today they also share new single, "Female Lead", premiering on The Fader with accompanying video directed by James Ogram and the band's Anouska Sokolow, and featuring Jojo Macari, one of the stars of Netflix's Sex Education.

- After making a name for herself as a successful actress and independent artist, Kira Kosarin is ready to re-introduce herself. Today, the 24-year-old singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, embarks on her next chapter with Republic Records—as exclusively announced by Billboard. To celebrate the news, she shares her debut single “mood ring.”  Listen to “mood ring”—HERE.  Kicking off with a lightly picked acoustic guitar and complimented by Kira’s ethereal vocals and lush harmonies, the song serves as the perfect introduction for her new music. “I’m excited to have something out there that when people come and look, is actually a reflection of me, for maybe the first time in my life,” says Kira. “With “mood ring”, I’m telling a story of falling in love through color,” she says. “It’s got a rhythmic pocket that just feels really good to listen to, while still maintaining the emotional connection and acoustic side of my sensibility.”

- Hulu Originals gives series order to drama Career Opportunities in Murder and Mayhem.  How do you solve a murder in a post-fact world? Especially when sailing the Mediterranean on an ocean liner filled with the wealthy and powerful. Everyone on board is hiding something… but is one of them a killer? 57 Channels and Only This Is On: March 6, 2022

Killing Eve:  So the crazy lady assassin is religious now?  Okay, I guess she is still not above feline murder.

The Walking Dead:  So who is left back in Alexandra?  We gained from last week, Maggie was still there.  One armed guy is the only other person that I could think of off the top of my head.  Eugene was also conspicuously absent this week, but he was in the “Next Week On” so he was in Alexandra somewhere, we just did not see him.  Then Princess was almost unrecognizable without that puffy jacket.  But how long do we hvve to get to see that confrontation between Daryl and Maggie?

Billions:  Episode 6:  If you are in the same room as an instructor, why do you need a screen of the instructor two feet in front of your face?  But anyway.  Almost confusing is a Chinese company having a plant in Wisconsin.  Couldn’t it be cheaper to produce the product in their homeland?  Do they do this solely to slap “American made” on their product?  I am also a little confused to how Chuck is going to use Prince’s alma mater.

Snowpiercer:  Well, that escalated quickly. Pike and Layton were fighting Wilford two episodes ago, Pike tries to kill Layton last episode and Layton kills Pike this week.  But Layton kind of had to since Pike had the information of the Horn of Africa being a scam.  But is he just going to kill everyone that lady tells because she really let that slip fairly quickly to Pike.  And of course, people may find out sometime.  Are there really going to find a habitable place in Africa?  It would be weird doing Snowpierer without people actually living on Snowpierer.

The Endgame:  I missed how people think the evil lady’s husband was dead in the first episode only to see him talking to the agent’s husband.  How does no one know that someone who is prison is not dead?  Did he fake his death and part of the plan was him to get himself incarcerated with the husband?  What is this plan?  Is she just doing this to expose corruption within the government?  Is she just going to bring don a new official every week?

Resident Alien: The only thing funnier than cat murder: octopus murder apparently.  They just drug out that scene until it was not funny anymore and then continued some more until it was funny again.

The Dropout:  There is nothing I appreciate more than when shows populate their cast with recognizable actors no matter how small the role.  Sure William H. Macy, Laurie Metcalf and the lady from 24 are big enough for more than two scenes in three episodes, but I appreciate the character work.  Then you got Stephan Fry and the guy from Ghost as lab technicians who I am not sure we will see much of after the initial three episodes.  The dude from the Blacklist just pops in for a couple scenes to ask what fork is going on.  I also spotted Cameron Frye in the “This Season On.”  Having recognizable actors, especially in a large ensemble makes it easier to remember who is who.

I have not been following this story very closely, just knowing the headline, but I was not ready for just how weird everything is.  It is interesting to watch this at the same time as the Uber show.  Travis built his whole brand on false bravado, while Elisabeth is just this weirdo with zero confidence, and when she tries to exude confidence, I am not sure she can even convince herself, she certainly does not seem to be convincing anyone else, at least not yet.  But as long as Elisabeth does some white girl dancing in every episode, this show may end up being my favorite show of the year.

Big Sky:  Silly me thinking Drew Carey’s brother was dead… again.  He already survived a bullet between the eyes, why would I think having his skull bashed in would be any different?  But it is time to wrap up both storylines; I am getting tired of both of them at this point.

The Blacklist:  So they waited until Park left to arrest the Conglomerate because they did not want to put her in danger?  Arresting everyone right after an agent leaves seems like the best way to put a target on her back.  Nothing says set up quite like a raid after someone leaves.  That seemed as dumb as no one realizing that the bug could still be on Lizzy after not finding it on her clothing.  That was the first place I thought of.

Around the Tubes: March 5, 2022

I have gotten a plethora of cool press releases have been flooding my inbox recently that you may find interesting.  This post includes blurbs on The Girl From Plainville, 7 Days, Desus & Mero, Alf, The Circus, Pusha T, Neneh Cherry, Joy Oladokun, Benee, Chelsea Cutler, and Elyanna.

“The Girl From Plainville” is inspired by the true story of Michelle Carter’s unprecedented “texting-suicide”  case. Based on the Esquire article of the same name by Jesse Barron, the limited series explores Carter’s relationship with Conrad Roy III and the events that led to his death and, later, her conviction of involuntary manslaughter.  Check out the official trailer and key art for Hulu's "The Girl From Plainville" starring Elle Fanning.  "The Girl From Plainville" premieres on Hulu with three episodes Tuesday, March 29, 2022.

- 7 Days, the charming rom-com from filmmaker and MD Roshan Sethi c(co-reator of The Resident) starring GERALDINE VISWANATHAN (Bad Education) and KARAN SONI (Deadpool).  Co-Written by Roshan Sethi and Karan Soni, executive produced by The Duplass Brothers.  Set up on a pre-arranged date by their old-fashioned Indian parents, Ravi (Karan Soni) and Rita (Geraldine Viswanathan) seemingly have nothing in common, making for an afternoon that, while pleasant enough, couldn’t be any more awkward. He’s conservative and clearly nervous, while she’s doing her best to politely keep on smiling. But then circumstances conspire and force Ravi to spend the night at Rita’s place. Before long, he sees that she’s not the straight-laced girl she initially pretended to be—for starters, she’s quick to pound a beer for breakfast. As their time stuck together stretches towards a full week, though, Ravi and Rita develop an unlikely bond, and in the face of a heartbreaking turn of events, that bond grows into something stronger. 7 Days is a delightful rom-com that doubles as a showcase for its two stars, Soni and Viswanathan, both of whom carry this two-hander with natural charm and easygoing chemistry, and a culturally specific spin on its genre’s familiar tropes. Optimistic and full of heart, director/co-writer Roshan Sethi’s debut captures love in the time of isolation and will leave you on a feel-good high.

Riding a wave of incredible buzz from his new Kanye West-produced single "Diet Coke," Pusha T has linked up with longtime friend, and collaborator Nigo to release the new track "Hear Me Clearly," from Nigo's forthcoming Victor Victor Worldwide/Republic Records album I Know Nigo.  Japanese cultural and fashion icon Nigo has previously released two acclaimed singles from the highly-anticipated project: "Want It Badfeaturing Kid Cudi and "Aryafeaturing A$AP Rocky. Set for release on March 25th, the album is executive-produced by NIGO and Pharrell notably serve as the album's executive producers. I Know Nigo will be Nigo's first musical body of work in nearly two decades.

Neneh Cherry graced us with “Buffalo Stance” in the late 80s, a generation-defining song about inner city life that turned music on its head. Paired with her ferocious energy and a punk attitude like no other, the genre defying track dominated the world, reaching No.3 in the UK and the US, where it went Gold. It took the No.1 spot in Neneh’s native Sweden and The Netherlands plus Top 5 in Belgium, Canada, Finland, Greece, Norway, Switzerland and more. “Buffalo Stance” switched up the game not only in music but in culture and fashion too and we’ve not looked back since, until today via Republic Records.  An artist that’s ever evolving, exploring and collaborating, Neneh hands the creative reins over to long-time friend, one of pop’s treasured musical geniuses and woman behind some of the most memorable songs of recent decades, Robyn, for a new version of her seminal track. It’s the first single from Grammy nominated artist since the release of her acclaimed album Honey and is the product of one Swedish icon passing the baton on to another. In true Robyn fashion, “Buffalo Stance” has been transformed into a slinky, scandipop song - slowed down and stripped back with electronic shimmers and layered vocals, it’s an intoxicating re-imagining. Robyn also enlists polymath musician Dev Hynes to add his special touch on the production and Mapei for a fresh take of that iconic rap.  LISTEN TO ‘BUFFALO STANCE’ HERE

Acclaimed singer, songwriter and musician Joy Oladokun’s new song, “Fortune Favors The Bold” featuring special guest Tim Gent, is out today—listen/share HERE.  Reflecting on the song, Oladokun shares, “We wrote this song as a sort of way to imagine a world where victims are heard and addictions are met with compassion. Natalie, Jeremy and I all felt that the most powerful people we’ve encountered in our lives were also the most compassionate. This song is both a celebration of those people and a way of hoping that the influence of kindness and care continues to spread until this world is a radically different place.”

With the buzz building in her growing international fan base amid the sound of increasing critical applause, New Zealand alternative pop star BENEE unveils her eagerly anticipated Lychee EP today via Republic Records—listen HERE.  BENEE says, “Being locked down in New Zealand felt like things were going to be like this forever and like I was wasting time. I was afraid that I’d run out of ideas or I would find it difficult to get through this writing trip. However going into rooms with new production collaborators like Greg Kurstin and Rostam, and reconnecting with Kenny, was really liberating and actually let the energy I had been lacking back into my songs. There is something crazy about landing in LA from New Zealand and throwing yourself into songwriting. The exact same thing happened for me two years ago when I arrived in LA and wrote ‘Supalonely’ on the first day. I love that this EP has the emotional breadth to channel much of the anxiety that I was feeling at home in songs like ‘Doesn’t Matter’ and ‘Hurt You Gus’ but then also switching to the new energy I found when writing ‘Beach Boy’ as well as ‘Never Ending’ which is my current favourite!” Read her letter on Lychee to fans HERE.

Platinum-Certified singer, songwriter, and producer Chelsea Cutler reveals the deluxe version of her sophomore album When I Close My Eyes—listen to the EP & watch the video for her new single “What Everybody Wants” HERE. The album features three new songs, including “What Everybody Wants” and recent release “the lifeboat’s empty!”.  Chelsea says, “when i released WICME this past October, i felt like i wasn’t fully ready to start moving on conceptually or sonically. i kept on writing and finished three new songs i truly loved and decided that we needed to do a deluxe version. i am so excited to be able to continue this era with my fans, especially with the tour starting next in just a few days xo”

Palestinian-Chilean singer and songwriter Elyanna releases her EP Elyanna II via Universal Arabic Music. The EP features her new single “Al Kawn Janni Maak” (La Vie En Rose) and official video styled by Lana Del Rey and directed by her sister Caroline “Chuck” Grant, out now—listen HERE and watch HERE.  Lana Del Rey recently posted on Instagram about working with Elyanna, saying, “I love this video so much, might be one of my favorite videos my sister made. I was stylist that day, I think everything turned out perfectly. Not gonna lie, working behind the scenes is one of my favorite things, whether it’s digging holes for giant wood planks to make a clothing line or playing a gaffer, I like to get my hands dirty, it’s amazing what one family can do with friends to make a beautiful video possible. Especially with the right camera man. So proud of everyone who worked on this shoot.”

57 Channels and Only This Is On: February 27, 2022

The Walking Dead:  So Daryl, the ultimate loner, is going to join the creepy futuristic soldiers?  I feel a twist coming a mile away.  He is going to turn out to be a plant to see what the soldiers are really up to.

Billions:  For a guy who wants to do everything by the book, bribe the governor with the naming rights to an Olympic Stadium seems very underhanded.  Then you have Bonnie storming out after Prince put the training wheels back on her bike.  Is it safe to assume she goes to her former flame’s firm?  How many more will be there by the end of the season?  Prince has started to stock his firm with his own people.  It was also interesting to see Chuck and Wendy play nice.  Could they mend fences to take down Prince together?

Snowpiercer:  So, Pike was one of the few people who sided with Layton against Wilfred and now that he is back, he is already plotting against him and possibly trying to kill him?  Alrighty.

The Endgame:  So one of the most notorious international fugitives allows themselves to get caught.  Where have I seen this before?  Though maybe not entirely The Blacklist but female, they really did not really tell up much about what this show is going to be about.

Big Sky:  They really put extensions on Drew Carey’s brother just to kill him again halfway through the season again?  But let me guess, there is a triplet out there somewhere that will pop up in season three.  Hopefully we do not find out.

Around the Tubes: February 25, 2022

I have gotten a plethora of cool press releases have been flooding my inbox recently that you may find interesting.  This post includes blurbs on The Man Who Fell to Earth, Hip Hop 50, Florence + the Machine, Eddie Vedder, Mandy Moore, James Brown, and George Thorogood.

Harris plays Justin Falls, a brilliant scientist and engineer who must conquer her own demons in the race to save two worlds.

As part of the network’s HIP HOP 50 banner, SHOWTIME announced that CYPRESS HILL: INSANE IN THE BRAIN (w/t) will premiere Wednesday, April 20 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Chronicling the legendary L.A. rap group Cypress Hill, the documentary film will debut along with two newly acquired titles LA MADRINA: THE SAVAGE LIFE OF LORINE PADILLA, premiering Friday, April 15 at 8 p.m. ET, 5 p.m. PT, and BUSHWICK BILL: GETO BOY, premiering Friday, April 29 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.   Told through the intimate lens of photographer and director Estevan Oriol (LA Originals), CYPRESS HILL: INSANE IN THE BRAIN is a smoke-filled journey across the lives and careers of the groundbreaking, genre-defying Hip Hop group, Cypress Hill. Their unique sound, influenced by their Latin roots and West Coast upbringing, was built on a movement rooted in true authenticity: from cultivating the flower, to smoking it, to rapping about it, their influence is forever burned into the musical landscape of Hip Hop as they continue to stay relevant after 30 years. Using a treasure trove of never-before-seen archival footage captured by Oriol himself, as well as images of band members B Real, DJ Muggs, Sen Dog and Eric “Bobo” Correa, CYPRESS HILL: INSANE IN THE BRAIN tells the story of a brotherhood that has withstood the test of time to create a truly original, everlasting legacy.

Florence + the Machine debut a new song, “King,” today alongside a video by acclaimed director Autumn de Wilde. Listen and watch here.  “King” is a meditation on womanhood, family, femininity and the subverting of expectations in which Florence Welch declares: “I am no mother, I am no bride, I am king”.  “As an artist, I never actually thought about my gender that much,” Florence says. “I just got on with it. I was as good as the men and I just went out there and matched them every time. But now, thinking about being a woman in my 30s and the future, I suddenly feel this tearing of my identity and my desires. That to be a performer, but also to want a family might not be as simple for me as it is for my male counterparts. I had modelled myself almost exclusively on male performers, and for the first time I felt a wall come down between me and my idols as I have to make decisions they did not.”

Previewing Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber

Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber starts with the CEO of UberCab asking a potential employee, “Are you an asshole?”  Then he distracted by someone else and goes on a lengthy monologue that feels like I was watching at 1.5x speed.   Once done, he finally returns to the potential employee and asks, “Are you an asshole?”  The first time he asked, I though the obvious answer should be no, but after the monologue then I was thinking that UberCab CEO really hopes he answers yes.  I will not spoil what the answer was, not because I fear it will ruin the opening scene for you, but to be honest, the opening scene came me at such a breakneck speed, I forgot what the answer was, or if he even game an answer.

Super Pumped is created by the duo behind Billions, Brian Koppleman and Sam Levine.  Watching it, you probably would not even need me to tell you as the new show seem Billions after doing copious amounts of cocaine.  Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s Travis Kalaneck, founder of Uber (you will learn what happens to the “Cab” part of the name fairly early) comes across as a mix between Bobby Axelrod and Mark Zuckerberg, specifically the Social Network version, not the real one.  And much like how the finance talk on Billions goes way over my head, much of the tech talk goes way over my head, especially comes from someone who seems to be talking at 1.5x speed.

Another way you can tell the show is done by the team behind Billions, it seems like they spent most of their budget on music.  In the first episode, there is not one, not two, but three Pearl Jam spanning three of their first for albums.  Before you get mad that Vitology gets skipped over, a song from that album shows up in the second episode.  Then even more Pearl Jam songs in episode three.  Okay, they do not spend their entire budget on artists that will cost you a pretty penny (considering the amo8unt of earl Jam songs, I have to wonder if you get a discount if you buy in bulk) because they also managed to get Quintin Tarantino to narrate the first season.

With Gordon-Levitt dialed to eleven for most of his performance and the always hyper Tarantino narrating (though, it is surprising how little he actually narrates) it is nice the show also features Coach Taylor himself, Kyle Chandler.  He plays the money guy who does not always sees eye to eye with founder who likes to speak first, think about what he says either.  While not in the main cast, Noah Weisberg plays an employee of Uber and is probably best known (only known?) as Danny Michael Davis, the Mark Zuckerberg stand in at SPRQ on Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist.  Facebook is the subject of the already announced second season of Super Pumped.

Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber airs Sundays at 10:00 on Showtime.

57 Channels and Only This Is On: January 20, 2022

Billions:  Finally a cameo I recognize.  Though if this season is about the Olympics, why bring in a college basketball coach?  Where are the Olympics?  Michael Phelps?  Carl Lewis?  Simone Biles?     But that running total of expenses was extremely cheesy and I have to wonder why it took six seasons to do that?

Are they finally going to give Sacker a storyline?  I feel like everyone I feel like mentioning her, I have to look up her name, she has been that insignificant.  Everyone under Chuck always have except when the one guy went after him yet Bobby always had people under him who seemed integral to the plot.  I wonder if she has a play separate from Chuck and Prince.  Everyone always has their own play, this is Billions.  I guess we just have to wait to see what that is.

Snowpiercer:  We have not seen Melanie this season and she was absent for most of the second half of last season, and now she is just haunting everyone.  They never found her body, will we actually see her alive again?  She cannot possibly be at the Horn of Africa where they are traveling to, can she?    They seem to be going further and further from where she was last seen so it does not seem they will be back her way anytime soon.

Pam & Tommy:  There was a scene in Wayne’s World where the titular character went to a gas station and when interacting with the attendant there, broke the fourth wall and said he knew that this was a small part, but couldn’t they have gotten a better actor for the part.  The joke was, they swapped out that actor with Charlton Heston.  I thought of this scene when Tommy confronted Third Eye Blind.  I was expecting fireworks considering the lead singer is as big a douchebag as Tommy Lee, but they cast some bland actor who could not have been a more boring, non-descript white dude.    Meh.  But I will say, this episode sucked the least.  I had a big laugh at Nikki Sixx reading the newspaper.  Like that ever happened.

Single Drunk Female:  Why do so many employees at that grocery store wear tank tops under their work aprons?  Especially since I believe the most recent episode took place in April.  I am not sure I am returning to a store like that.
