Featuring interviews with leading meteorologists, scientists, and engineers, who examine the basic science of hurricanes, Super Hurricanes: Inside Monster Storms premieres Friday, September 22 at 9:00.

- Academy Award®-winning actor Sean Penn has joined Beau Willimon’s upcoming Hulu original drama series The First. Though details about the role remain under wraps, this marks the acclaimed actor’s first foray into television. Set in the near future, “The First” will follow the first human mission to Mars exploring the challenges of taking the first steps toward interplanetary colonization. The story focuses not only on the astronauts, but also on their families and loved ones, as well as the ground team on Earth. Hulu and Channel 4 have given a straight-to-series order for the show, created by Willimon (House of Cards, Ides of March), who also serves as executive producer alongside his producing partner Jordan Tappis under their Westward Productions banner. IMG will handle sales in all territories.

- The poignant documentary War Dog: A Soldier’s Best Friend will premiere on HBO on Monday, November 13th at 10:00 with a special sneak preview on HBO GO, HBO NOW, and HBO ON DEMAND on Veterans Day, Saturday, November 11. Synopsis: From executive producer Channing Tatum and director Deborah Scranton (The War Tapes) comes a deeply personal documentary that highlights the intimate relationship between veterans and their K9 companions, both during combat and as they readjust to civilian life. Focusing on three courageous dogs (Layka, Mika and Pepper) and the soldiers who served by their side in the most elite forces in the military, War Dog: A Soldier’s Best Friend recognizes the invaluable impact these war dogs have during their deployments, finding and disarming enemies while providing emotional support to troops in the bleakest of hours. Featuring exclusive military footage, photos, and revealing interviews with the handlers – who open up about the physical and emotional struggles they’ve faced – the film is ultimately a tribute to man’s best friend, underscoring the incredibly important role that these canine soldiers play in the lives of their human counterparts, and the unwavering loyalty and bravery that make these four-legged comrades in arms heroes in their own right.

- VH1's Hip Hop Squares returns from hiatus with THREE new back-to-back episodes on Monday, September 25th at 9PM, 9:30PM & 10PM.

- TV fans rejoice! For the first-time ever, all 194 episodes of the Emmy Award-winning, pop-culture phenomenon Will & Grace will be available to stream and on-demand. The iconic series will be available on the NBC app, Hulu and on-demand through satellite, cable and telco pay TV providers, beginning Thursday, September 21, one week ahead of the return of Will & Grace on NBC.

- At the 69th Annual Primetime Emmy® Awards ceremony held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, CA, Hulu became the first streaming service in history to win a Primetime Emmy Award in the Best Series category for its critically acclaimed, breakout drama series The Handmaid’s Tale. The premium streaming service garnered its first-ever Emmy Awards for The Handmaid’s Tale and documentary The Beatles: Eight Days A Week – The Touring Years, bringing its total to ten Emmy Award wins for the night.

- On this week’s episode of Attack Each Day: The Harbaughs’ Podcast, ESPN Analyst, University of Michigan alumn and family friend Adam Schefter joins Coach Jim Harbaugh to discuss Schefter’s recent and inspiring experience in the Michigan locker room, their history of crossed paths, Harbaugh’s playing days, and Adam’s readiness to serve as a “fill in captain” for the team. Jack Harbaugh also appears and shares a story of when MLB player Gates Brown came to the house when Jim and John were kids, and how the brothers sold autographs to their friends. - Turner’s TBS has renewed three of the network’s most recent hit original series: The Guest Book, People of Earth and Wrecked. All three shows rank among the top 10 cable comedies with adults 18-49 in Live +7, and The Guest Book is cable's #1 new comedy series of the year. The network's summer series join TBS' previous 2017 renewals, including the dysfunctional family comedy The Detour and police procedural spoof Angie Tribeca.

- This Week, Showtime announced the pick-up of new half-hour comedy series Kidding, starring Golden Globe® winner Jim Carrey (The Truman Show) in his first series regular role in more than two decades and reuniting him with Oscar winner Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind), who will direct the project With a 10-episode first-season order for Kidding, Carrey – one of the most beguiling, popular screen stars of his time – will executive produce with Gondry, Emmy® nominee Jason Bateman (Arrested Development), Jim Garavente (Bad Words), Raffi Adlan (The Green Hornet) and Michael Aguilar (I’m Dying Up Here). Kidding was created by Dave Holstein (WEEDS, Raising Hope), who wrote the pilot and will serve as showrunner. The announcement was made today by David Nevins, President and CEO, Showtime Networks Inc.

- Showtimes is picking up its drama series about the art of comedy, I’m Dying Up Here, for a second season, it was announced today by Gary Levine, President of Programming, Showtime Networks Inc.

- Musical duo, Aly & AJ, who have sold over 2 million records worldwide, recently returned after a 10 year musical hiatus, with new track, "Take Me". The song was received with critical acclaim from major outlets like Billboard, InStyle, Allure, Refinery29, BuzzFeed, Playboy and more, generating over a million streams in its first week, with MTV enthusing, "Dreamy, anthemic...It's perfect pop."


- The Ruderman Family Foundation has announced the preliminary results for its Ruderman TV Challenge to audition and cast more actors with disabilities, with CBS and 20th Century Fox leading the way seven months in. The Challenge was designed to reach television executives, showrunners, producers, content creators and casting directors with a very simple request: audition and cast more actors with disabilities this pilot and TV season, as people with disabilities remains the most marginalized group in Hollywood.

- Ahead of its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival this weekend, Showtime has released the full-length trailer and key art for the new Showtime Documentary Film, Eric Clapton: Life in 12 Bars. Following the festival, the film will make its world television debut exclusively on Showtime on Saturday, February 10 at 9:00. Also making its debut at TIFF this weekend is the new Showtime Documentary Film LOVE MEANS ZERO, which presents an in-depth look at famed tennis coach Nick Bollettieri and will premiere on Showtime in 2018.


- Check out the new trailer for the final season of The Mindy Project! The sixth and final season of The Mindy Project premieres Tuesday, Sept. 12 only on Hulu. New episodes will stream weekly on Tuesdays.


- Science Channel will follow the final moments of NASA’s Cassini spacecraft before it crashes into the atmosphere of Saturn. On Friday, September 15th the Cassini mission will end its remarkable 13-year tour of Saturn by plunging into the gas giant and burning up. Cassini has spent months diving close to Saturn’s rings, offering the world remarkable never-before-seen images of the planet. Now we’ll see what it looks like from inside its famous rings. Science Channel captures the months of lead-up to the mission’s ‘Grand Finale,’ as well images taken right before the crash, in Space's Deepest Secrets: Cassini, premiering Tuesday, September 19 at 9:00. The network will also go live on September 15 at 7:50 a.m., broadcasting Cassini’s final moments.

- Showtime announced a powerful new eight-part documentary series, Active Shooter: America Under Fire, that delivers an in-depth exploration of mass shootings and their devastating consequences. From the first-hand perspective of survivors, families of the victims, witnesses and heroic first responders, the series goes beyond the sensationalistic coverage of these nightmarish moments to offer a comprehensive report on these tragic events. Active Shooter: America Under Fire will premiere Friday, September 29 at 9:00 on Showtime, on-air, on demand and over the internet.


- Lara Stolman’s inspiring debut documentary, Swim Team, follows three diverse young men—Michael McQuay Jr., Robert Justino and Kelvin Truong—from Perth Amboy, New Jersey, who fall on the autism spectrum. New Jersey reports the highest rate of autism in the country, with one in 26 boys on the spectrum. On the McQuays’ team, the Jersey Hammerheads, these young men find inclusion, independence and space to achieve their loftiest goals. Swim Team has its national broadcast premiere on the PBS documentary series POV (Point of View) on Monday, October 2, 2017 at 10:00 (check local listings). POV is American television's longest-running independent documentary series, now in its 30th season. Swim Team is a co-presentation with the Center for Asian American Media (CAAM).

- The outrageously funny Gary Owen is back with his third SHOWTIME comedy special, Gary Owens: I Got My Associates, premiering Friday, September 8 at 9:00. In this hour-long special, Owen’s stories are as unbelievable as they are true, running the gamut from celebrity weddings and bumping into LeBron James in the bathroom to the dichotomy of his hillbilly family and being married to the daughter of a founding member of the Black Panthers. Filmed at the Stardome in Hoover, Alabama, Owen also includes his thoughts on being the father of teenagers and serving in the military, as well as what he thinks of gamblers, prisons and even hand washing. No one sees the world quite like he does in this hilarious new special.

- The legendary Madonna graces this week’s cover of People, with an exclusive look at her charity work for the African nation of Malawi, which recently culminated with the opening of the country’s first ever pediatric hospital. Madonna, a mother to six children – four of whom she adopted from Malawi – gives People and PEN unprecedented access to her incredible journey in helping a country she holds so dear.

- Showtime announced the pilot order for the new half-hour comedy series Ball Street, starring Emmy® nominated and Golden Globe winning actor Don Cheadle (HOUSE OF LIES) and two-time Tony® Award nominee and Grammy winner Andrew Rannells (Girls, The Intern). Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg will direct and executive produce the pilot. Ball Street was created by David Caspe (Happy Endings) and Jordan Cahan (My Best Friend’s Girl), who will serve as executive producers and showrunners. Production on the pilot is scheduled to begin in February. The project is a co-production between Showtime and Sony Pictures Television Studios. The announcement was made today by David Nevins, President and CEO, Showtime Networks Inc. takes us back to October 19, 1987 – aka Black Monday – the worst stock market crash in the history of Wall Street. To this day, no one knows who caused it. Until now… Ball Street is the story of how a group of outsiders took on the blue-blood, old-boys club of Wall Street and ended up crashing the world’s largest financial system, a Lamborghini limousine, Don Henley’s birthday party, and the glass ceiling.

- VH1 this week announced the new spine-chilling competition series Scared Famous will premiere on Monday, October 23rd at 9PM ET/PT. Legendary rapper Redman is named the Master of Scare-a-Monies for 10 of the biggest reality stars as they try to endure gruesome challenges and terrifying scares that pay homage to recent horror hits. Over 2 weeks, these celebrities will move into an eerie estate in Savannah, Georgia, one of America’s most haunted cities, and test their limits for a chance to donate $100,000 to his or her favorite charity. They must rely on alliances, strategy and friendships, but supernatural forces beyond their control may be their true undoing.

- Second Nature was directed and co-written by Seattle's Michael Cross, and was shot in Cross' hometown of Ellensburg, WA with an entirely Northwest-based crew and supporting cast. The film aims to bring light to gender inequality by showing how the rivalry between men and women is alive and well. When mayoral candidate Amanda (Collette Wolfe – Interstellar, Hot Tub Time Machine) uses a magic mirror to reverse the gender roles in her small town, she gains the upper hand on her womanizing opponent, Bret (Sam Huntington – Superman Returns, Sully). As each experiences life in the other’s shoes, they must decide which reality they prefer before they’re stuck in the flipped world forever.

- Showtime has acquired the rarely seen Prince concert film Sign O’ the Times, which will air on American television for the first time in more than a decade, premiering September 16 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Created as a companion to the 1987 Prince double album of the same name, Sign O’ the Times features live performances of songs including “U Got the Look” (with Sheena Easton), “If I Was Your Girlfriend” and “I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man,” in addition to the title song and a striking rendition of the Prince classic, “Little Red Corvette.” Much of the film was shot at Prince’s own Paisley Park Studios, as well as on tour in the Netherlands and Belgium.

- Tune in to the AT&T* AUDIENCE Network concert special Cold War Kids airing Friday, August 25,at 9:00 via DIRECTV Ch 239, AT&T U-verse Ch 1114 and on-demand through DIRECTV NOW. - Turner Classic Movies (TCM) will celebrate the life and career of acclaimed comedian, actor and filmmaker Jerry Lewis, whose irrepressible zaniness and frantic creativity made him a defining figure of American entertainment in the 20th century, with a five film tribute on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 4 in honor of of the nearly 50 years Mr. Lewis spent hosting The Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon encouraging viewers to donate to the charity. Lewis, who passed away Sunday Aug 20 at the age of 91, knew success in movies, on television, in nightclubs, on the Broadway stage from his early films with Dean Martin, to his solo career eventually writing, producing and directing many of his own films.

- Morgan Freeman – Academy Award® winning actor, producer, voice actor and activist – has been named the 54th recipient of SAG-AFTRA's highest tribute: the SAG Life Achievement Award for career achievement and humanitarian accomplishment. Freeman will be presented the performers union's top accolade at the 24th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards®, which will be simulcast live on TNT and TBS on Sunday, Jan.21, 2018 at 8:00. Given annually to an actor who fosters the "finest ideals of the acting profession," the SAG Life Achievement Award will join Freeman’s exceptional catalog of preeminent industry and public honors, which includes a Screen Actors Guild Award, an Academy Award, HFPA’s Cecil B. - MTV today announced additional performers set to take the stage at the 2017 “VMAs” airing live from the “Fabulous” Forum in Inglewood, Calif. on Sunday, August 27 at 8:00. Logic will perform his hit single “1-800-273-8255” featuring Khalid, and Gucci Mane will take the stage with previously announced Fifth Harmony to perform their song “Down.” Additionally, the show will feature special performances by breakout artists Post Malone and Julia Michaels. MTV is announcing that singer-songwriter Alessia Cara and rapper KYLE will perform at the 2017 "MTV VMAs" on Sunday at 8pm ET/PT.

- AMC announced today that the award-winning Blue Man Group will appear in the season premiere episode of Halt and Catch Fire, which begins its fourth and final season on Saturday, August 19th at 9:00. The network will also be launching an exclusive sweepstakes where fans can enter to win a Blue Man Group prize package, including two tickets to see a Blue Man Group performance, a human paintbrush canvas of Gordon Clark (Scoot McNairy) as seen in the season four premiere, and much more. The sweepstakes will launch on Friday, August 18th at 3:00pm ET and run until September 1st.

- The iconic PBS series Austin City Limits (ACL) announces a new season premiering October 7 with an an epic hour featuring global superstar Ed Sheeran. With this season, ACL becomes the longest-running music show in television history, providing viewers with a front-row seat to the best in performance for over 40 years, and continues its legendary run showcasing more stars, innovators and highly-anticipated debuts. - TBS’s Conan will take the show internationally for the seventh time in two years as the popular host travels to Israel. Conan Without Borders: Israel will be a primetime special premiering Tuesday, September 19 at 10:00 on TBS. O’Brien plans to visit Tel Aviv and Jerusalem among other locales to be announced in the coming weeks.

In celebration of the epic drama The Last Ship at Comic-Con International, TNT is releasing the official season four trailer after playing it exclusively for fans who attended the panel. The fourth season of The Last Ship is slated to launch with a two-episode premiere on Sunday, Aug. 20, at 9:00, across TNT platforms.



- Award-winning actress Michelle Dockery will be back on the bad side when she returns as thief and con artist Letty Raines, whose life is always one wrong turn or one bad decision away from implosion in the hit TNT drama Good Behavior. Juan Diego Botto, Terry Kinney, Lusia Strus and Joey Kern also star in the seductive drama, which was created by Chad Hodge and Blake Crouch and is based on a series of books by Crouch. The second season of Good Behavior is slated to premiere across TNT's television, mobile and digital platforms on Sunday, Oct. 15, at 9:00.

- Turner's TBS has taken another step toward earning its comedy series merit badge by ordering a fourth season of the hit series Angie Tribeca, starring Rashida Jones. And in a shameless attempt to grab some much-deserved awards attention, the fourth season will welcome a new cast member: two-time Emmy® winner Bobby Cannavale (Boardwalk Empire) who has proven time and time again that he is irresistible to the Academy. Fingers crossed!


- This fall, TBS will enter the next phase of its ongoing brand evolution with a slate of three new original series, plus the eagerly anticipated second season of a returning favorite. Leading the pack on Tuesday, Oct. 24 will be TBS's new scripted comedy The Last O.G, starring and created by superstar and multiple Emmy® nominee Tracy Morgan alongside creators and executive producers Jordan Peele and John Carcieri. This marks the exciting return of Morgan to series television as he stars opposite Tiffany Haddish, who is hot off the heels of the box office success Girls Trip. TBS will also add (mostly) friendly competition to the mix with the new head-to-head celebrity rap battle competition Drop the Mic, hosted by Method Man and Hailey B aldwin and based on the popular segment from The Late Late Show with James Corden, premiering Thursday, Oct. 26. Fans can also expect a comedy-driven reboot of a classic game show with Snoop Dogg Presents The Joker's Wild, coming this fall. And finally, starting Sunday, Nov. 19, TBS will once again lead in to Thanksgiving Week with the season 2 premiere of the critically acclaimed series Search Party.

- In this day and age of modern technology and surveillance monitoring almost every detail of our lives, it seems inconceivable to us that something or someone could just disappear off the face of the Earth. Now a new Science Channel series, Mysteries of the Missing hosted by Emmy®-winning actor Terry O’Quinn (Lost, The Patriot), pursues plausible explanations to some of the most infamous disappearances of all time. The series premieres Saturday, August 26 at 10:00.

- Turner's TNT has greenlit straight to series the new drama One Day She'll Darken. Patty Jenkins (Wonder Woman, Monster) is attached to direct the pilot and potentially additional episodes, and Chris Pine (Wonder Woman, Hell or High Water) is attached to star in all six. Sam Sheridan, author of A Fighter's Heart and The Disaster Diaries, is set to write the six-episode series, inspired by the autobiography of Fauna Hodel. The series is being produced by Turner's Studio T, with Jenkins, Michael Sugar (Spotlight, 13 Reasons Why), Sheridan and Pine serving as executive producers and will shoot this fall.

- MythBusters will explode back on to Science Channel this fall with all-new episodes and an all new-team. Brian Louden and Jon Lung, who earned the right to be called MythBusters by displaying killer build skills and science smarts during MythBusters: The Search, will showcase their awesome talents by building and executing new experiments involving rocket powered swords, exploding gas tanks, airbag disasters and more. The new 14-episode season of MythBusters will debut on Wednesday, November 15 at 9:00.

- Journey into the depths of exotic habitats with some of nature’s most extraordinary creatures with two brand-new Wild Wednesday specials on Smithsonian Channel. From the dry, barren terrain of the Namibian savanna to the lush rainforests of India, meet two of nature’s most unique creatures – the tenacious honey badger and deadly king cobra. Follow these incredible animals on Smithsonian Channel as they navigate their unforgiving environments and fight for survival in Honey Badger Grit, premiering Wednesday, August 9 at 8:00, and Cobra King, debuting on Wednesday, August 16 at 8:00.

- Showtime announced a new one-hour drama pilot, City on a Hill, to be executive produced by Academy Award® winners Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, written by Chuck MacLean (Boston Strangler), and directed and executive produced by Gavin O’Connor (The Accountant, Warrior). The project will also be executive produced by James Mangold (Logan, Walk The Line) and Emmy nominee Jennifer Todd (Jason Bourne, Memento) for Pearl Street Films. Produced by Showtime, City on a Hill is based on an original idea by Affleck and MacLean. The announcement was made today by David Nevins, President and CEO of Showtime Networks Inc.

- Turner's TNT has renewed its original drama Animal Kingdom for a third season as strong multiplatform viewing helped make the series cable's only Top 20 drama this year to show growth among Adults 18-49 in its second season. Emmy® and Tony® winner Ellen Barkin, Scott Speedman, Shawn Hatosy, Ben Robson, Jake Weary, Finn Cole, Molly Gordon and Carolina Guerra star in Animal Kingdom, which is produced by John Wells Productions in association with Warner Horizon Scripted Television. New second-season episodes premiere across TNT platforms Tuesdays at 9 p.m. (ET/PT), with the season fi nale set for Aug. 29. TNT plans to launch the third season in 2018.

- Amid hearty Tuscan meals and sweeping landscapes, the octogenarians’ quest unexpectedly swells with humor and clashing memories in Shalom Italia. Directed by Tamar Tal Anati, the film has its national broadcast premiere on July 24 at 10 p.m. (check local listings) on the PBS documentary series POV (Point of View). POV is American television’s longest-running independent documentary series, now in its 30th season. The feature film will follow the Oscar®-®nominated short Joe’s Violin, in which a donated musical instrument forges an improbable friendship between a 91-year-old Holocaust survivor and a 12-year-old Bronx school girl.

- Snatchers is the teen horror-comedy from Stage 13/Warner Bros. Digital Networks that is streaming on go90. Series is bingeable as of August 10; we have been releasing episodes every Thursday since June 22.

- Award-winning TV Host, Journalist and Author Roland Martin has launched a lifestyle and information website called AllThat.TV. The site will be a daily digital destination for national news, pop culture, politics, lifestyle features, health and wellness, cooking segments, faith-based content and a weekly motivational series.

- Stefano de Stefano, a free market Republican and Houston-based energy attorney, emerged Monday as the sole Republican primary challenger for Sen. Ted Cruz’ seat in the U.S. Senate. "Texas Republicans deserve a big-tent alternative who can bring private sector know-how to bear against the gridlock in our federal legislature," said de Stefano.

Season 1 of the new series Boiling the Frog with Senator Al Franken involves six five-minute episodes. The series stars Niecy Nash, Carrie Preston, Judy Reyes, Karrueche Tran, Jenn Lyon, Jack Kesy, Kevin Rankin, Jason Antoon with Harold Perrineau and Dean Norris. New episodes of Claws premiere across TNT platforms Sundays at 9 p.m. (ET/PT), with the season finale set for Aug. 13. The second season is slated to launch in 2018.

- SHOWTIME and Fox 21 Television Studios announced this week that the critically acclaimed drama Homeland will move to Virginia for production of the show’s seventh season. The series will begin filming in Central Virginia this fall. HOMELAND’s seventh season will premiere on SHOWTIME in 2018.

- Bill Skarsgard has been cast as a series regular on Hulu’s Castle Rock.

- VH1 this week announced that the new music competition show Signed will premiere on Wednesday, July 26th at 9PM ET/PT. - The new documentary The War Show focuses on some of the idealists who joined the early Syrian resistance. Co-director and narrator Obaidah Zytoon, a Damascus activist and radio broadcaster, turns her camera on her friends, a close-knit group of millennials who like listening to classic rock, hanging out on the beach and organizing anti-Assad protests. “We were united in hatred of subordination and love of uniqueness,” Zytoon says. Zytoon and Andreas Dalsgaard’s The War Show has its national broadcast premiere on the PBS documentary series POV (Point of View) this Monday, July 3, 2017.

- For more than a year, a serial killer known as “Son of Sam” terrorized New York City, killing six people and critically wounding seven others. On July 29, 1976, David Berkowitz began a murder spree that left law enforcement baffled and the public afraid to leave their homes. Forty years after his arrest, the latest installment of Smithsonian Channel’s immersive and critically acclaimed series THE LOST TAPES sets the scene for what would become a national media frenzy in search of an elusive murderer. The ultimate in authentic storytelling, this series features no narration or recreations – just the story as captured by media reports and home videos at the time, including rarely-seen press coverage of the murders and interviews from people who knew Berkowitz. The Lost Tapes: Son of Sam premieres Sunday, July 30 at 9:00.

- GSN, the leader in game shows and competitive entertainment, announced today the premiere of Snap Decision, a new comedic half-hour game show series hosted by actor and comedian David Alan Grier (“The Carmichael Show”). Snap Decision is produced for broadcast syndication in a joint venture with Tornante-Sinclair LLC and asks, “What can you tell about a person just by looking at them?” It will debut with four back-to-back half-hour episodes on Monday, August 7 from 9-11pm ET/PT (8-10pm CT) on GSN, and then will move into its regular Tuesdays at 9:00pm ET/PT (8pm CT) time period the following night, August 8. It will have a unique air schedule, as it can also be seen weekdays on 20 Sinclair stations nationwide beginning August 7 (check local listings for exact times and stations).

- Hulu announced that Sissy Spacek and Jane Levy have joined the cast of upcoming Hulu original drama series Castle Rock.

- Showtime Networks Inc. announced the start of an expansive project that will examine the modern history of the National Basketball Association and the league’s impact on global popular culture. Executive producers LeBron James and Maverick Carter of SpringHill Entertainment and award-winning filmmaker Gotham Chopra have begun production on a three-part documentary film series slated to premiere on SHOWTIME in 2018.

- iHeartMedia and Turner announced today that the fan-driven iHeartRadio Music Awards will return to the historic, "fabulous" Forum in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 11, 2018, at 8 p.m. (ET)/5 p.m. (PT). The event will once again be simulcast live on Turner's TBS, TNT and truTV; on iHeartMedia radio stations nationwide; and on iHeartRadio, the all-in-one digital music and live streaming radio service.

- TBS's newest comedy series The Guest Book is set to premiere Thursday, Aug. 3, with back-to-back episodes starting at 10:00. The Guest Book emerged from Emmy® winner and series creator Greg Garcia's habit of writing fictitious stories in the guest books of various rental cabins in an effort to freak out the next renters. Now he is bringing those stories to life on TBS. While the house and cast of characters living in this small mountain town remain the same, each episode will feature a different set of vacationing guests.


- TBS's hit comedy People of Earth will return for its second season on Monday, July 24 at 10:30. Executive-produced by Emmy® winners Conan O'Brien and Greg Daniels, along with creator David Jenkins and showrunner Norm Hiscock, the series centers on a group of alien abductees – or "experiencers" – living in the small town of Beacon, N.Y. New cast member Nasim Pedrad joins returning cast Wyatt Cenac, Ana Gasteyer, Oscar Nuñez, Michael Cassidy, Alice Wetterlund, Luka Jones, Brian Huskey, Nancy Lenehan, Tracee Chimo, ;Da'Vine Joy Randolph, Björn Gustafsson and Ken Hall.

- For the first time in 99 years a total solar eclipse will span the continental United States, the path of totality stretching from Oregon to South Carolina. The Great American Eclipse will likely be one of the most viewed events in history and Science Channel will be on the ground to capture the excitement with live coverage as it happens on Monday, August 21. In primetime, the network will premiere a one-hour special, The Great American Eclipse (wt), with same-day footage of the eclipse, on the 21st at 9:00. The announcement was made today, the Summer Solstice, by Marc Etkind, General Manager of Science Channel.

- Conan O'Brien will once again be immortalized with a set of four Pop! Vinyl figures to be available this July, when TBS's late-night series Conan returns to San Diego for Comic-Con® International. Created by Funko for TBS, a division of Turner, this year's collectible figure designs include "Conan as Spider-Man™," "Jedi™ Conan," "The Flash™ Conan" and "White Walker™ Conan." In addition, there will be a limited-edition figure entitled, "MonoConan," which will only be available through activations & giveaways taking place in San Diego. During the week of Comic-Con® International, CONAN will be taped at San Diego's historic Spreckels Theatre on Wednesday, July 19 – Saturday, July 22. - Some of the biggest names in movie and TV comedy will be making their way to YouTube Red this Fall. From a hilarious reinvention of the traditional cop drama by renowned comedy director Rawson Marshall Thurber, to an all-new comedic scripted series from Rob Huebel, YouTube Red is building up its comedy lineup with Hollywood veterans in front of and behind the camera.

In the eight-episode, half hour comedy Ryan Hansen Solves Crimes on Television*, the LAPD thinks it’s a good idea to form a task force partnering actors with homicide detectives so they can use their “actor skills” to help solve murders. Starring Ryan Hansen (“Veronica Mars,” “Party Down”) who plays himself and guest star Samira Wiley (“The Handmaid's Tale," “Orange Is The New Black”) as his no-nonsense partner Detective Mathers, the series features a who’s who of broadcast and cable television stars playing bizarro versions of themselves including, but not limited to, Joel McHale, Jon Cryer and Kristen Bell. Rawson Marshall Thurber (“Central Intelligence,” “We’re the Millers,” and “Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story”) serves as the director, writer, creator and executive producer of this super meta half hour comedy procedural which is as much about Hollywood as it is an action-comedy cop show. The series is executive produced by Thurber, Scott Stuber, Beau Bauman, Krysia Plonka and Tracey Baird.

Do You Want to See a Dead Body? is an eight-episode comedy series that follows comedian Rob Huebel (“Childrens Hospital,” “Transparent”) and his celebrity friends who begrudgingly join him on adventures that see them frolicking at the beach, getting tacos, ...oh...and seeing a dead body. Celebrity guest stars include Adam Scott, Judy Greer, Terry Crews, Craig Robinson, and John Cho along with many more. Huebel, Owen Burke, Nick Jasenovec, and Jonathan Stern serve as executive producers. The series is being produced by Abominable Pictures and Funny or Die.

- Comedian and I’m Dying Up Here star Erik Griffin (Workaholics, Blunt Talk) makes his hour-long debut in the new comedy special Erik Griffin: The Ugly Truth premiering Friday, July 7 at 9:00 on Showtime. Griffin’s hilarious special is the third standalone comedy event from the stars of the network’s newest drama series I’M DYING UP HERE, which airs on Sundays at 10:00 on Showtime.

- Hulu announced Alexis Bledel will return as a series regular for the second season of The Handmaid’s Tale. Alexis Bledel will reprise her role in the second season of Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale as a series regular. Bledel starred in season one as a guest star and received rave reviews for her heartbreaking performance. The 13-episode second season is scheduled to go back into production this fall and will premiere in 2018.

- Hulu announced a new cast of characters joining the upcoming second season of Hulu Original Freakish. See below for casting information as well as a special casting video released today.



- The critically acclaimed Showtime Documentary Film Whitney. Can I Be Me, originally scheduled to premiere Saturday, August 26 on Showtime, will now air on Friday, August 25 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. On August 26, Showtime will offer the much-anticipated pay-per-view boxing match between undefeated world champion Floyd Mayweather and UFC champion Conor McGregor live from Las Vegas.

- TNT is releasing a new trailer for its brand new drama series Will, which tells the wild, rowdy story of young William Shakespeare. Newcomer Laurie Davidson plays the title role in this period drama told in a bold, contemporary style and played to a modern soundtrack that exposes all of Shakespeare's recklessness, lustful temptations and tortured brilliance. Also starring are Olivia DeJonge, Ewen Bremner, Colm Meaney, Mattias Inwood, Jamie Campbell Bower, William Houston, Lukas Rolfe, Max Bennett and Jasmin Savoy Brown. Will is slated to launch on Monday, July 10, at 9:00 across TNT's U.S. platforms.

- Showtime Documentary Films has released a new extended clip from Oliver Stone’s unprecedented conversations with Vladimir Putin, The Putin Interviews. The clip is pulled from hour four of the special, which features Stone’s most recent discussion with the Russian president this past February, following the U.S. presidential elections. In the newly released clip, Putin offers his opinion of his former Cold War foe, Senator John McCain, that sheds light on how Putin views today's global affairs in a historical context. Additionally, a new video for The Putin Interviews was released that features a behind-the-scenes look and interview with Stone, about the making of the television special.


- Turner's TNT has announced that the premiere episode of its new drama Claws will stream on Twitter following the series' launch on TNT. Set in a Central Florida nail salon and featuring an ensemble cast headed by Niecy Nash (Getting On, The Soul Man), Claws is slated to premiere Sunday, June 11, at 9:00 across TNT's platforms. Twitter will then stream an encore of the premiere episode at 10 pm. (ET), marking the platform's first ever streaming of a basic cable drama. Fans on Twitter in the United States will be able to access the stream and a curated timeline of show-related Tweets by going to claws.twitter.com, as well as via the @ClawsTNT Twitter handle.

- All next week (6/12-6/16), GSN will feature episodes of Family Feud where the contestants at some point left Steve Harvey utterly speechless. Tune in each night at 7pm ET (6pm central) to catch the contestants and answers that dumbfounded the otherwise talkative host

- The year is 2015. Syria’s brutal civil war has been ravaging the country since the government responded with force to civil protests during the Arab Spring in 2011. Regime, Kurdish, ISIS and rebel forces all occupy various parts of the city of Aleppo in northwestern Syria. A volunteer group called the White Helmets provides emergency services to traumatized residents in the rebel-occupied areas of the city. A crucial part of their efforts is rescuing survivors: After air attacks reduce buildings to rubble, the men of the White Helmets dig through the debris and pull survivors to safety. They are nothing short of heroes. The White Helmets are the subject of Last Men in Aleppo (airing July 10, 2017 on POV), the searing documentary directed by Feras Fayyad that won the World Documentary Grand Jury Prize at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival. The film has its national broadcast premiere on July 10 at 10 p.m. (check local listings) on the PBS documentary series POV (Point of View). POV is American television’s longest-running independent documentary series, now in its 30th season. Last Men in Aleppo is the final film in this season’s special series highlighting the Syrian conflict and refugee crisis.

- First Ladies have played a key role in branding their husbands’ presidencies and have each left their own mark on history. Smithsonian Channel’s new series, First Ladies Revealed, examines some of the most prominent and remarkable women – trailblazers, style icons, diplomats, war heroes, and global superstars. From Dolley Madison, Eleanor Roosevelt and Jackie Kennedy to Nancy Reagan, Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama and more, the series tells the stories of some of the women who left their indelible mark on the White House and the nation. Smithsonian Channel reveals their challenges and celebrates their achievements, going beyond their public lives to tell their private stories. The series premieres Sunday, July 2 at 9:00.

- During his last expedition to Mongolia, survival expert Les Stroud was almost killed in an automobile accident. A year later, he returns there with his son Logan, now 19, and with a mind of his own and strength of character earned by beating cancer. If they're going to survive a week in remote Mongolia with no water, shelter, food or fire, they're going to have to work together. The task might be easier said than done when youth tests experience and stubbornness proves to be a genetic trait. Survivorman and Son: Mongolia kicks off Father’s Day weekend on Friday, June 16 at 10:00.

- Monster Hunt, China's highest-grossing movie of all time until just recently, is coming to DVD via FilmRise and MVD Enterttainment Group on June 13th.

- Turner's TNT has cast Jennifer Connelly, who earned an Oscar® for her performance in A Beautiful Mind, to star in the network's drama pilot Snowpiercer. She joins Tony Award® winner Daveed Diggs (Hamilton, Black-ish) in the futuristic thriller, which will be directed by Scott Derrickson (Doctor Strange). Based on the acclaimed movie of the same name, Snowpiercer is a co-production of Tomorrow Studios and Turner's Studio T, along with CJ Entertainment. The project is being executive-produced by writer-showrunner Josh Friedman (Avatar 4, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles); director Scott Derrickson; Tomorrow Studios' Marty Adelstein (Aquarius, Prison Break, Teen Wolf) and Becky Clements (Good Behavior, Aquarius, Last Man Standing); and the original film's Bong Joon Ho, Park Chan-wook, Lee Tae-hun and Dooho Choi.

- SHOWTIME has given a production order to Escape at Dannemora, a new eight-hour limited series starring Academy Award® winners Benicio del Toro (Traffic) and Patricia Arquette (Boyhood), and Golden Globe nominee Paul Dano (Love & Mercy, There Will Be Blood). Emmy® winner Ben Stiller will executive produce and direct all eight episodes. The limited series is based on the stranger-than-fiction account of a prison break in upstate New York in the summer of 2015, which spawned a massive manhunt for two convicted murderers who were aided in their escape by a married female prison employee with whom they both became sexually entangled. Production will begin later this year at the actual locations in upstate New York. Escape at Dannemora is the network’s next high-profile limited series, on the heels of the launch of the new TWIN PEAKS, which generated a record number of streaming service signups for SHOWTIME. The announcement was made today by David Nevins, President and CEO, Showtime Networks Inc.

- Having already kicked off “Weekend Blast with Ed Lover and Monie Love” (Saturday’s 7am-9am) this past weekend, Long Island’s party station Party 105.3FM is getting ready to premiere their brand new “Fresh, Fly, and Funny” weekday drive-time show hosted by none other than the hip hop legends themselves! The Ed Lover Show will bring not only classic hip hop music and celebrity interviews from the hottest artists and influencers of of today, but features that connect with a generation of urban trendsetters, as well as giving listeners a chance to give their own input through daily segments and contests!

- Showtime Documentary Films has released the first extended clip and new trailer for The Putin Interviews, a revealing series of conversations between renowned filmmaker Oliver Stone and Russia president Vladimir Putin. The Putin Interviews will have its world television premiere on Showtime over four consecutive nights starting on Monday, June 12 at 9:00.

- Joscelyn Eve Stoker, better-known as Joss Stone, was born in Dover, Kent, England, and grew up listening to singers like Dusty Springfield and Aretha Franklin, emulating their gritty, soulful style on her groundbreaking 2003 debut album, The Soul Sessions, Volume 1, which proved a worldwide sensation and will now be released on vinyl by UMe on May 26.

- Commodores, the 1977 self-titled fifth studio album by the pop-funk-soul band known as the “Black Beatles,” will get a vinyl LP release from UMe, along with a special edition in blue vinyl for fans and collectors, June 16. Both releases were cut from the original, un-faded masters, delivering on vinyl for the first time longer versions of seven of the nine tracks.

- ‘Lovers’, the debut album from Anna Of The North, will see its worldwide release on Friday 8th September. An album deeply rooted in heartbreak, it’s a subject that courses through the veins of all ten tracks – through the turmoil, the guilt and the tentative joy of finally letting yourself move on.

- Oh Wonder (Josephine Vander Gucht and Anthony West) have just shared a their new song “Heavy”, the fourth track to be released from their upcoming sophomore album, Ultralife which will be released later this summer on July 14th. “Heavy” follows Oh Wonder’s current single “Ultralife”, as well as previous releases “Lifetimes”, and “My Friends”. “Heavy” also launches with a video that stitches together 2665 individual photographs to create the allusion of the British duo dancing within a makeshift color cube, which you can watch HERE. Much of their new album Ultralife was written in New York City, where the duo resided for a period in between touring last year. Oh Wonder put the finishing touches to Ultralife, which was recorded and produced entirely by the duo, in South East London earlier this year. - Sebastian Junger's new documentary on Syria, Hell on Earth: The Fall of Syria and the Rise of ISIS, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. The film will have it's theatrical premiere on May 19 in NYC & LA and then TV premiere on National Geographic Channel on June 11. Hell on Earth chronicles Syria’s descent into the unbridled chaos that allowed the rise of ISIS.


- POV’s 30th season kicks off with a series of films on the Syrian war and the ongoing global refugee crisis. The first, Dalya’s Other Country, follows a young Syrian girl and her mother who have been displaced by the war at home and are adjusting to their new life in Los Angeles. The feature doc will premiere with two shorts also focusing on the refugee crisis. The Oscar®-nominated short 4.1 Miles spotlights a small Greek town on the sea and the coast guard’s daily efforts at saving thousands of migrants crossing the Mediterranean. - At the South Carolina Aquarium Sea Turtle Care Center, wildlife heroes spend countless hours rehabilitating sea turtles back to health and safety with sheer determination and compassion. Smithsonian Earth’s new, original series, Sea Turtle Rescue, sheds light on each journey to recovery, from the time they are brought into the hospital to the moment they return home at sea. - - Hulu has renewed East Los High for a final 60-minute event, titled East Los High: Finale Event to premiere Fall 2017 on Hulu.

- Turner Classic Movies (TCM) and FilmStruck will celebrate Pride Month this June with extensive movie lineups dedicated to exploring LGBT themes in cinema. Honoring a number of LGBT actors and artists whose talents helped them overcome the roadblocks they faced because of their orientation or gender identity, TCM will spotlight Gay Hollywood, hosted by entertainment journalist Dave Karger and author and historian William Mann, every Thursday in June, and FilmStruck will present a Gay and Lesbian Cinema showcase, hosted by film critic Alonso Duralde.

- Showtime has released a new video teaser from the limited event series Twin Peaks, which will debut with a two-part premiere on Sunday, May 21 at 9:00 on air, on demand and over the internet. To watch and share the new Twin Peaks promo, which reveals a glimpse at some new and returning faces.


- The critically acclaimed SHOWTIME limited event series Guerrilla will air its final two episodes back-to-back on Sunday, May 14 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on air, on demand and over the internet. As the series comes to a close, Marcus (Babou Ceesay) and Jas (Screen Actors Guild Award® winner Freida Pinto) are tested in the wake of tragic loss. - Little Steven shares his new song "Love On The Wrong Side Of Town," co-written with Bruce Springsteen, from his eagerly anticipated new album, SOULFIRE (Wicked Cool/Big Machine/UMe). "Love On The Wrong Side Of Town" is the third song the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer has released from the album set to arrive everywhere on Friday, May 19th. - Following the 45th AFI Life Achievement Award Tribute to Diane Keaton on June 8 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Turner's TNT will televise the celebration as a one-hour special, AFI Life Achievement Award: A Tribute to Diane Keaton, premiering Thursday, June 15, at 10:00. Sister network Turner Classic Movies (TCM) will then encore the special on Monday, July 31, during a night of programming dedicated to Keaton's work. This marks the fifth year the Emmy®-winning AFI special has aired on Turner networks.

- Showtime has announced the pick-up of the new half-hour comedy series SMILF from Frankie Shaw, based on her Sundance Film Festival Jury Award-winning short film of the same name. The series order will include 10 episodes that will begin airing this fall. Set in Boston, SMILF will take a raw and honest comedic look at a single, 20-something from Southie whose desires for relationships, sex, and a career collide with the realities of young, single motherhood. Shaw will star, write, produce and direct the semi-autobiographical comedy, with Oscar® nominee Michael London (Sideways) and Emmy® nominees Janice Williams (Confirmation), Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky (The Office, Bad Teacher) executive producing. Multiple Emmy winner Rosie O’Donnell will co-star in her first series regular TV role as “Tutu”, Bridgette’s (Shaw) mother, who is completely oblivious to social convention. The series is produced by ABC Signature Studios as a co-production with Showtime.

- Showtime has released a new promo from the limited event series Twin Peaks, which will debut with a two-part premiere on Sunday, May 21 at 9:00 on air, on demand and over the internet.


- Starz announced the highly-anticipated Season Four return of the #1 hit STARZ Original series Power on Sunday, June 25, starting at 12:01 am on the STARZ app and On Demand. The network on-air premiere will be at its regularly scheduled time of 9:00 pm ET/PT. Season Four of “Power” will consist 10 one-hour episodes.


- GSN, the leader in game shows and competitive entertainment, announced today the premiere of its newest game show, Emogenius, hosted by Hunter March (AwesomenessTV). The show debuts Wednesday, June 7 at 9:00pm ET/PT (8pm CT) with back-to-back episodes.


- Showtime Documentary Films will debut the new documentary Becoming Carey Grant, a definitive biography of the extraordinary Hollywood icon, at the Cannes Film Festival. Following the festival, the film will have its world television debut on Showtime on Friday, June 9 at 9:00 on air, on demand and over the internet. Directed by Mark Kidel (Elvis Costello: Mystery Dance, A Journey With Peter Sellars), the captivating biopic reveals Cary Grant’s inner search to find himself at the height of his fame.


- – Showtime Documentary Films will release The Putin Interviews, a revealing series of interviews between renowned filmmaker Oliver Stone and Vladimir Putin, the Russian president who has reemerged as the central antagonist and wild card to the United States on the world stage. The Putin Interviews will have its world television premiere on SHOWTIME over four consecutive nights starting on Monday, June 12 at 9:00.

- Nashville-based singer-songwriter Tony Lucca has confirmed a residency in Nashville this summer with a series of four free shows at The Country (110 28th Avenue North, Nashville) on June 28th (8 p.m.), July 27th (6 p.m.), August 23rd (8 p.m.), and September 6th (8 p.m.). Billed as “Tony Lucca and Friends,” the residency is an opportunity for Lucca to work on some new material for a forthcoming album in a live setting. “I plan on getting into the studio at some point this year for a new record, so I will be utilizing the shows to work out some new material and putting songs up on their feet for the first time in front of an audience,” says Lucca. “That environment can be extremely helpful and constructive. And hopefully entertaining.”
